Dia & Co is a monthly personal styling subscription for plus-sized women. It’s pretty much just like Stitch Fix for plus sizes – Fill out your profile and sizing information, pay a $20 styling fee (refundable against anything you choose to keep), and have 5 items selected by a stylist sent straight to your home to try on. Dia & Co includes free shipping each way. If you keep all 5 items from your box, you’ll receive a 20% discount.
The box itself came packaged very neatly, and included a nice quote on the back of my stylist note.
It included an invoice showing the price of each item plus my potential discount.
In addition to telling the stylists that I am more of a Classic, Casual, and Retro kind of girl, I also let them know that packability is key due to work travel. One of the things I think it interesting is they ask you what you DO NOT want in terms of colors and prints, instead of asking what you DO want. I am curious to see how that plays out over time. It does force me to be more open minded!
What I got:
Junarose Slim Washed Ankle Jeans in Gray, Size 16 $119
Zenobia Long Sleeve Chiffon V-Neck in Royal (2X) $36
Hooray! I was really hoping for a pair of non-denim jeans for the summer. I just picked up some new denim, but I wanted some lightweight and light-colored pants, too. These Junarose fit pretty well and I love the color. I am not in love with the zippers (they make rolling them up weird), but I’ll get over it. Finding pants that fit my middle is too hard to pass up.
And I love this top! It’s a great color and perfect for me to wear to work or hang around in during the spring and summer. It’s a lightweight chiffon – I do think it is just sheer enough that I may need a camisole under it. The lace detail makes it feel more special than just another long sleeve top, but I can’t see the lace, so I don’t feel too girly. I am like an ostrich – if I can’t see it, it isn’t there.
Mikarose Lace Short Sleeve Top in Maroon (XXL) $29.99
Cute, a little short to wear with pants, but a good length to wear with skirts. The gathering on the sleeves makes this feel a little dressier, too. I like this one, but I don’t love it.
Oddi Palley Top in Navy (XL) $39
Bailey Infinity Scarf $27
The top fits, but I definitely don’t love the cut. The fabric is nice – soft knit jersey, a heathered blue grey, which I do like. Alas, I feel exceptionally frumpy in this. I am not a big fan of seams up the middle of tops.
Lovely, nice and light infinity scarf. But this thing is just begging for me to dribble soup on it. I eat a lot of soup. A lot. One of my friends always jokes when she comes over that my cat smells like soup. So I avoid white on top. If the colors were reversed, I might have kept it!
I think my stylist heard my feedback from last time – these tops were mostly longer, and they found me grey jeans that fit, so they get major points for that. I am wearing the jeans as I type this. 🙂 I am definitely looking forward to more fun next month.
