Bluum is a baby and kids subscription box full of age-specific developmentally appropriate items for your child (with mom items too). Bluum now has a box item preference system to help adjust what goes into your boxes – so you can nix diapering items, mom items, etc, or keep those in! It’s up to you. And on top of that you can now customize your box completely! Cut-off is the 4th of the month at 11:59 PM EST to build your own box! Note that picking your own items is “Pick Products” and selecting the areas you want more for is “customize your box” on your account page.
As always, everything is neatly packaged.
We reset the age for our box so we could select items that were more appropriate for our baby (who is quickly becoming a toddler!). So it’s an imaginary 3 year old child box. He’s now officially pre-K.
There is no specific theme to Bluum boxes, nor is there a real information card – Bluum checks the tracking and when your box is delivered, a list of the items inside your box is emailed to you.
YUMEARTH Organics Valentine’s Day Gummy Bears ($5.99) Made with fruit juice and no artificial colors or flavors.
I normally wouldn’t like candy in this box but I was happy to have some “no bad stuff” candy for the Easter basket! And yes, they were delicious!
Dreambaby Swivel Light Auto-Sensor ($4.65) This is perfect for our hallway – turns on in the dark, on during the day, and it using a long lasting LED that uses less energy. Replacing the old one! Plus I can point it where the big kids need it and away from baby’s door!
Frenchie Mini Couture Stripe 3 Pack Crew Socks ($10) Yay socks! We have a sock monster living in our house and I was about to buy more 6 weeks ago but I forgot. Perfect for us.
Le Petit Matisse Young Artist’s Paint ($12) 100% natural and non-toxic paints!
This paint set comes with three primary colors. These are scented with lavender for a soothing creative experience.
Here’s the information card for the paint set – the ingredients are natural and safe.
The total value for this month was about $32.64, which was poor – I do expect the value of this subscription to be at least $5 over the monthly box price. I should note that I do pay yearly so I did personally see a cost savings. As for the items they were solid and useful, but for me, no OMG I need this now items. I’m going back to picking my items.

I got my first Bluum box of a 6 month sub. I went and picked my items early on to get a high value box. Then I opened my box and it only had 3 of the 4 items I picked. The highest value one was missing, a swaddle blanket, RV $18. Instead I got a $3 canister of compostable diaper wipes. I was very disappointed, I was really looking forward to the blanket. I emailed CS and they said they could add another item to my April box. But I’d already made my choices, so when I went to add something I lost all my original selections which sucked. I’m currently 6 months pregnant trying to stock up for a newborn. The selections they’ve been giving me are odd, few are great or age appropriate. Lots are for toddlers and older kids, it makes no sense. I like it because the box only cost me $12 with a Groupon and I get to pick my items.
PS- Last time Haley from MSA got a “low value” box I think it was like $35 maybe they added an extra item to hers. They said it was because hers was a low value and it flagged it in the system, so they added an extra item to bring up the RV. But another reader commented saying they’d never done that to her and she’s had low RV boxes.
