March 2024 Vegancuts Snack Box was themed Springtime Superfoods, Sweets & Snacks. I received 11 items and was excited to try some that looked new-to-me, including a carbonated adaptogenic drink! Read on to see what I received!

DEAL: Use the coupon code hellosub to get $5 off your first box on any Vegancuts subscription!   It can only be used once per customer, but it can be used on multiple subscriptions at once so long as they are in the same transaction.

Proceeds from this box helps support animal sanctuaries. The back of this card lists the snacks inside the box.

Lore Mushroom Chocolate ($3.33) Inside this bag I found a card with a discount code plus a cardboard tube containing four individually wrapped chocolates. These chocolates are supposed to boost the immune system with maitake, shitake, and Turkey Tail extracts. The chocolate is dark and possibly unsweetened while the middle is a sweet peanut butter paste that doesn’t really taste much like peanut (I thought maybe it was a chocolate filling). Either way, it was tasty. I think we’re supposed to accept this as a tasty supplement that doubles as a treat.

Fitzels Protein Pretzels in Pizza Palooza I want to tell you that this bag holds three servings, so you might want to pace yourself (or share with someone else). That also means the 18 grams of protein comes from the whole bag, and one serving is 6 grams (which is double the amount in other pretzels of this sime shape and serving size). The extra protein comes from pea, and unfortunately it also changes the texture, which was odd to me but may be ok for others (my husband said they were dry). The pizza flavor was subtle and these weren’t overly salty.

Freestyle Snacks Hot & Spicy Green Olives I love green olives, and these were wonderful! I carefully cut open the bag, expecting it to leak olive juice, but nope, these were moist and no brine was in sight. They were pitted and super spicy, and now they are gone because they were so tasty.

Promix Vegan Cereal Bar At first I thought this was a breakfast bar but then after reading the ingredients I realized it was a fancy crispy rice treat. It has a base of pea protein and rice starch puffs, and the bottom is covered with vanilla candy coating, which is also drizzled on top. It’s super sweet but made for a nice afternoon snack (or an after dinner dessert).

Melting Forest Mushroom D-Stress in Strawberry Lavender This drink has all kinds of claims: It may promote learning, manage stress, reduce fatigue, and calm you down. That’s a lot of promises for a soda. It’s carbonated and tastes like strawberry soda, and it’s super sweet due to stevia and erythritol. It also has caffeine extract, mushroom extracts, magnesium, and rhodiola extract and doesn’t taste like fungus. I’m not sure that using extracts will give us the same benefits as say, eating mushrooms in a stir-fry, but then again, most sodas don’t provide 100% of the daily amount of vitamin B6.

PeaKaPop in Sea Salt These are an updated take on popped rice cakes, with slightly more flavor thanks to lentil flakes, chickpea flakes, and peas. I liked them!

Fava Licious in Salt & Vinegar are really tasty, I think this flavor works well for this snack. It’s a roasted fava bean, which reminds me of roasted soy beans except they’re bigger. They are covered in a salty apple cider vinegar powder and for whatever reason, it works. Be careful when eating, some parts of the beans can be hard to chew. There are 8 grams of fiber in this snack, which is amazing, this is the kind of junk(less) food I want to snack on!

Chipoys Regular Keep in mind that there are four servings in this bag. These are rolled corn chips with a salty and sort of lime flavor coating (it’s twangy on the tongue). It’s like Fritos but lime flavored.

Outstanding Cheese Balls in Bacon Chedda I like the Chedda only version of this snack, but the bacon was odd. The texture was good, similar to traditional puffy snacks, with a base of rice and other plant-based flours to give it a pleasing texture.

Yammy Mango Chips I’ve tried this snack before and loved it so I was happy to get it again! It’s just dried mango, I think it’s freeze-dried as it’s a different texture than dehydrated mango. It’s sweet, tropical and simple, just the way I like my snacks.

Two Leaves and a Bud Peppermint Tea Peppermint tea is my favorite caffeine-free tea, it’s bright and smells delicious! This is a single serving of organic tea, and the bag and sachet are both compostable.

I liked the snacks and drinks that I tried in the latest Vegancuts Snack Box! I’m having a hard time picking a favorite, so I’ll mention a few: Lore Chocolate, Freestyle Green Olives, and Yammy Mango Chips! I was surprised to find that I liked the Melting Forest soda, and the Fava Licious beans were also interesting, thanks to the tangy taste of apple cider vinegar. Some of my snacks were one and done, others had a few servings per bag, but all were travel-friendly!
