The latest BoxyCharm by Ipsy is here! The theme was Welcome Home and I received 5 new products that included an eyeshadow palette, a pink lip plumper, and more. See all of my items below! Please keep in mind that BoxyCharm by Ipsy sends out lots of different box combos so my products may vary from yours. Plus, subscribers get to choose three of their five items (the other two are chosen by Ipsy). My box was chosen for me so it doesn’t always match my beauty needs and preferences but subscribers have more control over their box!

BYOD 5pc Eye Brush Set ($21) I am always happy to see rose gold anything in my subscription boxes and these eye makeup brushes have rose gold ferrules. I had to guess which brush was which since the letters and numbers on the side mean nothing to me (the brand doesn’t sell these individually so I couldn’t figure it out that way either). The five brushes in this set are an accent shadow brush, diffused shadow brush, liner smudge brush, angled liner/brow brush, and sculpting crease brush. I thought they worked fine, some are denser than others based on how they are used and so far I haven’t found any loose bristles, which happen to be synthetic.

First Aid Beauty Deep Cleanser with Red Clay ($24) I received this huge tube of cleanser that is meant for those with normal, combination, or oily skin (I have dry skin so I will pass it along). It’s a gel cleanser with no fragrance added (yay!) and it has glycerine, tea extract, rosemary (for scent), licorice root, and panthenol. It has illite (a white/grey clay) and iron oxide (rust) that give it its red color, I don’t think it has actual red clay though (such as rhassoul or kaolin). It’s supposed to clear pores and keep oil at bay. I used it and it worked fine but I’m afraid it would dry me up if I used it often but those with oily skin might appreciate that effect!

Lavaa Beauty No Chill Mascara in Brown ($32) It’s been a while but I used to buy brown mascara, before subscription boxes started sending pretty much only black mascara. The mascara is supposed to volumize and provide a lot of lift without flaking. I could definitely see a difference in length, and a second coat enhanced the effect. The mascara didn’t smell funky or perfumed, so I will keep wearing it!

Buxom Cosmetics Plump Shot Lip Serum in Dolly Babe ($29) is an “advanced plumping lip serum” which is a fancy name for what is a “warming” shiny lip gloss. It has collagen peptides and hyaluronic acid to plump up lips and keep moisture in place. It’s compared to lip filler injections on the brand’s website and while I think that’s stretching it, it does feel warm and cool at the same time, which I think is fun. The color is described as sheer mauve and I didn’t see any glitter and it really didn’t provide much color at all, but did leave my lips glossy. Like lip gloss does. Ohh, it smelled good too!

Violet Voss Pretty in Paradise All in One Face & Eye Shadow Palette ($43) Ipsy says this palette can be used as eye shadow, highlighter, or blush and that you can mix and match (although none of these shades is light enough to be highlighter on my skin tone). What I see is two matte shadows, four shimmery shadows, a matte orangey bronzer/blush, and a shimmery pink blush. These shades are a little too dark and orange/brown for my preferences but I thought they were easy to apply, maybe they could have blended easier.

Swatched on top is the Buxom lip plumper gloss, followed by the orange bronzer, pink blush, and all six eyeshadows.

I am feeling the springtime vibes thanks to my latest BoxyCharm by Ipsy delivery! In fact, the eyeshadow palette is perfect for those who like summery shades too, especially that pop of glittery green. The cleanser can help fight excess oil in the upcoming warmer months for those who have acne prone skin. I am always excited to get new makeup brushes, and these worked well and have pretty rose gold tones on them. A brown mascara may not sound all that exciting but I liked it, and those who have lighter hair colors may prefer it to classic black. The lip plumping gloss was another hit, it left my lips feeling warm rather than burned, and I discovered I still got that effect even when I applied a lip liner first (for a deeper color payoff). The value for my box was around $149!
