Ever Eden SPF50 Premium Mineral Sunscreen Lotion ($29) I wear sunscreen on my face every day and on my body when outside for anything other than incidental exposure, and I think this sunscreen is for those sort of encounters, rather than as a makeup base (which the brand also offers). This one is water-resistant up to 40 minutes and I feel like it’s misnamed: it’s a sunblock with the active ingredients titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, which block the sun’s rays, while sunscreen has chemicals that absorb the sun’s rays. Either way, the product doesn’t leave a white cast but does leave skin shiny, and it has a fruity floral scent that I can’t account for considering it doesn’t have fragrance listed in the ingredients. It’s a light scent though, and of course it doesn’t smell like traditional sunscreen.

Aceology Berry Glaze Overnight Lip Mask ($19) I wear lip gloss/lip balm sporadically throughout the day, mainly if I notice my lips feeling dry, but I ALWAYS apply something before I go to bed at night. There’s nothing that says this can’t be used during the day, but I applied extra before bed and noticed it was still hanging around when I woke up in the morning! It has a blend of various oils, hyaluronic acid, and fruity fragrance for scent.

ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Marine Cream ($94) The purpose of this cream is to firm, smooth, and hydrate and it has ingredients like glycerin, dimethicone, shea butter, carrot extract, and gingko. It’s supposed to be applied in the morning and that makes sense, since dimethicone is often found in makeup primers. It isn’t greasy but it has a strong floral fragrance. They mention that this cream is “infused with rose and mimosa, for a delicate floral aroma that is a delight to the senses” but fragrance is towards the beginning of the ingredients, while those other two ingredients are near the bottom and seriously, you could use this as a perfumed body lotion as the scent was strong and long lasting.

Defiance Beauty Infinity Liquid Eyeliner ($22) I only wear pencil liners, I cannot draw a straight line and apparently I don’t have a steady hand, it always looks so messy when I try. Yes, I still tried it, and I can say it dried quickly, I couldn’t get it to budge, and it didn’t transfer to my crease. It’s waterproof so hopefully those spring showers won’t leave you with raccoon eyes.

WANDER BEAUTY Trailblazer Eyeshadow Palette ($42 listed value) I couldn’t find this palette listed at Wander’s website, but check out the colors they sent, it’s a blend of green/pink/bronze/brown, it’s interesting! Seven of the shades shimmer, three are matte. I wore Jen on the lid up to my brow bone, used Noreen as the transition shade, applied Elizabeth to the crease, then applied various shimmers to the lid, changing it each day. Make sure to use just a little of the mattes until you get a feel for them, I found it hard to blend out but I will learn one of these days. I had lots of shimmery fallout under my eyes, on my cheeks, etc.

Swatched on top is the Defiance Beauty liquid liner and below that are all of the colors from the Wander Beauty Trailblazer palette. Jen (the lightest shade) looks matte and feels matte but it has a bit of shimmer too.

I thought the March BoxyCharm by Ipsy was a good assortment for me and my beauty preferences! The only thing I didn’t care for was the eyeliner, but that’s because I’ve given up trying to apply liquid liner, but I’m sure my daughter will like it. I must say the scent of the pricey Elemis moisturizer was also a no from me, it sticks around and reminds me of flowers and cigarette smoke for some reason. The Wander Beauty palette was pretty, it had some unusual shades but they worked for me and my hazel eyes. The sunscreen and the lip mask were both products I will reach for until they are used up, which is more important to me that something that is super pricey but that I can’t use because of, say, the scent. The value for my box was around $206, with almost half of that coming from the face cream.
