Icon Box is the latest box from Ipsy and it replaces the previous Glam Bag X and BoxyCharm Luxe. It’s a quarterly upgrade and comes with 8 full-sized products worth up to $350. Members get to choose three of their items from a few different options and this upgrade replaces your usual monthly bag for an additional cost. This season, the box was curated by Gwen Stefani, and I even received two products from her makeup line! Some of the other goodies I received were a clean miracle balm, a tubing mascara, and more. Check out what I received below!

Sachajuan Heat Protection Hair Cream ($39) If you use hot tools on your hair then you probably know that a heat protectant may help keep hair silky soft when applied before styling. Apply to damp hair before using a blow dryer or let hair air dry and then use an iron or straightener. It smells nice, a citrus floral fragrance that I wouldn’t mind having in a rollerball.

Kiramoon Silkie Rinse Gentle Hydrating Cleanser ($28) is a gentle cleanser meant for all skin types including sensitive, and it’s fragrance-free! It has ingredients like aloe, glycerin, rose water, apple extract, and some essential oils. It’s a clear gel that smells like cucumber and I applied it to my skin, rubbed it around, then added water and it created a little foam and removed all of my makeup. It does leave a slight film behind, I had to rinse my skin again because it felt like it wasn’t quite clean.

Drunk Elephant Wonderwild Miracle Butter ($38) I wish I had received a huge tub of this because I liked it a lot! Luckily, only a small amount is needed to soothe dry skin, rough elbows, chapped lips, small scrapes, and more. It is made with marula oil, coconut oil, shea butter, and several other plant oils and butters, and it has a light, slightly fruity scent. You have to squeeze it to get it out of the tube but then it instantly melts on contact.

KVD Beauty Full Sleeve Long + Defined Tubing Mascara ($25) Lately I’ve been skipping mascara because it rarely does much to improve the look of my lashes but I may make an exception for this brand. I applied two coats of this tubing mascara and you could see the difference, it definitely made my lashes noticeable. The effect may have been a little more clumpy/spidery than what I usually prefer but still, it was nice to have them look good for the day.

GXVE I’m Still Here Long Wear Liquid Lipstick in Flannel ($24) I have worn this lip product every single day since I received it. The color Flannel is described as dusty rose and while it’s a tad dark on me, I still liked it. A lot. You’re supposed to use the edge to line the lips and then fill it in. You have a few moments to play with it so I smushed it around with a lip brush and then it sets and stays in place until I eat, no stains on my water bottle either. It dried to a matte finish and felt good on my lips, it didn’t dry them out, and it smelled like vanilla.

GXVE Line It Up Clean 24-Hr Gel Pencil in Bathwater ($20) I love that I received a pencil eyeliner as I can’t do liquid but I wish it was pretty much any color other than metallic cobalt blue, I don’t think this shade is for everyone. It went on easily and was very bright, so almost immediately I went over it with black in order to mute the color. I would buy this in another color, as it glided on like a dream.

Swatched above are the Gwen Stefani makeup items, the lipstick in Flannel on top and the eyeliner Bathwater on the bottom.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze Styling Wax ($23) and Dual-Ended Applicator ($17) Use this duo to sculpt feathered brows and press them down for a “laminated” look. You scoop a bit of product out with the spatula end and then smear it onto the back of the cap. Then you twist the spoolie brush around a few times before applying to the brows, brushing them straight up. Finally, you use the spatula side once more to press the brows into place. I’m not a fan of feathered brows for myself but I tried it anyways and I feel like it looked like I had glue in my brows for a while. I tried applying powder to my brows to fill them in and I think that helped a bit.

Dominique Cosmetics The Essential Palette ($49) The pans in this palette are generously sized, the idea being that you can use not only an eyeshadow brush but a blush, bronzer, or highlighter brush too. I thought it was a decent palette, and although not all of the colors worked for me, the ones that did looked good. I had fallout from Positivity, and the glitters tended to end up under my eyes, but I liked the finished look. I tried using Me Amo as blush and didn’t think it blended all that well.

The first row of the Dominique palette is on the left, while the bottom row is swatched on the right.

I was really happy with the items in my latest ICON Box from Ipsy, and I found the items from Gwen Stefani’s makeup line to be pretty solid, I would buy her products in the future. My favorite item from the box is her GXVE liquid lipstick, I wear it pretty much every day now. I also liked the eyeshadow palette, the shimmers looked especially nice on my lids. The mascara worked well and the Drunk Elephant balm is a clean substitute for petroleum jelly. I was thrilled to see that most of the items are available at Sephora. The value for my box was around $263! Keep in mind that your value may vary depending on which items you received and of course subscribers get to choose some of their items too!

Above is the insert I received which showed off some of the products as well as several different looks on the curator, Gwen S.
