The Ipsy Glam Bag theme for December 2023 was You’re The Main Attraction! I received a bag and five beauty products including a lip balm, face scrub, and more. Read on to see all of my beauty items!

Note: Ipsy sends many variations, so the bag I’m reviewing may not match everyone else’s. Also, my bag is sent for review, while subscribers get to choose an item for their bag and have their products curated to their beauty quiz!

Ipsy Glam Bag The bag is so pretty, with pink and green glitter on one side, solid pink on the back. The zipper pull looks like an ornament and the inside is lined with wipeable polyester fabric. I have noticed flecks of glitter fall off whenever I handle the bag but it would make for a festive clutch for the holidays (although a touch on the small side if you usually carry a huge purse like me).

Dr. Brandt Skincare Microdermabrasion Age-Defying Exfoliator ($16) I use a physical exfoliator on my face once a week, and I really liked this one. The grains are small and remind me of baking soda, but keep in mind that you can control the grit by not rubbing too hard. They suggest rubbing for two minutes but I don’t think my skin can take that much, 30 seconds is all I could do. It smelled nice too, like mint and citrus. It was easy to rinse in the shower with no greasy feeling afterwards.

Nena Skincare Face Oil ($13.57) After using the exfoliator, I applied this face oil to lock in moisture. It has sunflower oil, cranberry oil, and more and it’s supposed to nourish skin. It has a light, natural smell from geranium essential oil. I may have used too much but I felt like it didn’t sink into my skin, so I simply blotted a tissue over my face before moving on to sunscreen and makeup (but I waited a good 30 minutes to give it a chance).

Goldfaden MD Lip Therapy ($10.13) is a super small sample but I liked it and wouldn’t mind having the full-sized tube! The sample size doesn’t have an applicator, I had to place a blob on my lips and then spread it around with my finger but the full-sized version has a slant tip. I appreciate that this is made without petroleum jelly but it has a similar texture. It smells like mint and I can happily report that it stayed on my lips overnight, I could still feel it when I woke up. Perfect for winter!

Shaina B Miami Angled Shader Eye Brush ($18, linked to similar item) I am always happy to add a new brush to my makeup box, and this one is so cute, check out the ombre color of the handle. I used it to apply color to my crease but it’s also light and fluffy, so it could work for blending too.

What’s Up Beauty Eyeshadow Duo in Plumour ($14) is a cute duo, although I wouldn’t normally wear these colors myself. The duochrome shimmer has a purple base that changes to pink or purple when you move while the matte shade is considered mauve. I had some fall out from the shimmery shade but otherwise it was easy to apply and blend. The people at the grocery store may give me strange looks today but it is a nice shimmer for parties and other special events.

Swatched on top is the shimmery shade from Plumour, while the matte color is on the bottom. The matte seems warm to me.

I liked the assortment of products in my December Ipsy Glam Bag! The bag itself is festive and bright and could double as a small purse. I’ve been reaching for face oils more often now that the weather is drier and I liked the Nena oil that was in my bag, I’ll just use less of it next time. I have always liked Dr. Brandt exfoliators and this one even smelled good, but without the use of added fragrance. My lips look good thanks to the Goldfaden lip treatment, I can’t believe it lasts overnight! While the eyeshadow colors weren’t for me, I liked trying them if for nothing else than to feel sparkly on a Monday for no reason. Lastly, I can always use more makeup brushes, the prettier the better. The value for my products was around $72!
