What you’ll get:
Yummy Crate explores STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) topics through engaging, hands-on recipes and projects. Each crate aims to inspire children and build their creativity and confidence in the kitchen! Some of the Yummy Crate activities to look forward to are experimenting with the effect of pH on dough and designing artistic creations with pancake art.
Each Yummy Crate will include a portfolio of recipe cards – expect at least 3 delicious family-friendly recipes that teach kitchen skills and explore the science of cooking! For further learning, there will be STEAM Activities for kids, which involves experimenting with a specialty cooking tool and other hands-on projects for more creative fun and learning. Another inclusion is the Yummy Zine Magazine, featuring kid-friendly science, comics, history, and fun facts about food. For parents and guardians, there will be a Grownup Guide for an easy-to-use shopping list!
What you won’t get: the ingredients! In order to allow each family to customize their meals to accommodate dietary preferences or restrictions, ingredients are not included. You’ll get an easy-to-use shopping list with items found at major grocery stores before your box even arrives, which will include alternative ingredient suggestions for different diets (vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free) whenever possible.
