The latest BoxyCharm by Ipsy box is here! The theme was Find Your Groove and I had fun trying all of these new-to-me items, such as a pink mask, periwinkle moisturizer, and warm palette for my face and eyes. See all of my items below! Please keep in mind that BoxyCharm by Ipsy sends out lots of different box combos so my products may vary from yours. Plus, subscribers get to choose three of their five items (the other two are chosen by Ipsy). My box was chosen for me so it doesn’t always match my beauty needs and preferences but subscribers have more control over their box!

CocoKind Resurrection Polypeptide Cream ($27) Upon opening this jar I thought it looked like blue marshmallow fluff! It’s a heavier cream and meant for those with dry skin (like me!) or for those who prefer a heavier cream for nighttime use or winter weather. It has no fragrance and it takes a little bit of effort to get it evenly applied but once it does it leaves my skin feeling good, almost relieved from its woes. Some of the ingredients are watermelon seed oil, glycerin, shea butter, and willow bark extract. It’s housed in a glass container and overall I’m excited to have this in my collection!

LYS Think Deep Pore Minimizing Detox Mask ($26) I’m past worrying about my pore size so this product wasn’t a hit with me, but I’ll pass it to someone who can us it. I applied it to my forehead and it was a typical clay-based mask that sops up oil and dries in such a way that it’s best to just rinse off under the shower. It’s pink and has a slight floral scent. It’s supposed to remove impurities and reduce the look of fine lines. Some of its ingredients are clay, glycerin, charcoal, pomegranate juice, and willow bark extract. Not a bad product, but probably better suited to those with oily or combination skin.

Amika Dream Routine Overnight Hydration Treatment ($32) Here’s another product that is in a glass bottle, which for some reason always feels upscale to me. I love the scent of amika products, but I’m supposed to avoid fragrances on my scalp, so I will give this to one of my daughters. It’s a non-greasy hydrator that you apply to your hair before bed, and you wake up with hair that’s somehow more hydrated than when you went to sleep. It boosts hydration for up to several days. Some of the ingredients are sea buckthorn oil, hyaluronic acid, algae extract, and coconut water.

Lunar Beauty Lip Pencil Duo ($28) I received this duo in the shades Blushing (nude pink) and Doodle (berry rose). I’ve only used Blushing so far but I think it has slightly warm tone to it so I’ve been wearing it on the same days I’ve worn the palette below. It can be worn all over the lips, which is what I’ve been doing, and then I go over it with a gloss and it’s the perfect look and finish for me. It’s easy to apply and can be sharpened the traditional way, it’s not a twist up liner.

Swatched on top is Blushing and below that is Doodle.

Laura Geller Soft Satins Palette ($35) I was thrilled to see this palette in my box! I like Laura Geller products and especially liked the shades in this collection, which are just what I want at this time of year. Silky was the lightest color and didn’t show up in my swatch below but I’ve been applying it all over my lid to my brow bone, followed by Stylish or Striking as my transition color, then I swipe Stunning into the crease. Sometimes I switch it up and use the other shades too. I’ve mainly used Starlight as my highlighter, I think Sensational reminds me of an Oscar statue. The six eyeshadow shades are all matte so occasionally I use a different product as my lid base when I want to shine.

Here’s that lovely palette swatched, with Starlight along the left side and Sensational along the right.

I had a blast with this month’s items from BoxyCharm by Ipsy! I especially liked the Laura Gellar palette, I’ve been using it daily ever since it got here! I also liked the lip liners, which again, I’m using every day. The cocokind moisturizer was fun to use, kind of like rubbing marshmallow crème onto my face, except it’s a light blue color and not super sticky. I have always thought that amika products smell wonderful, but I’m passing the product to my daughter since I avoid putting fragrance on my scalp. I’ll also hand her the LYS clay mask, I think she’ll get a kick out of it. This box had a good combo of products such as hair care, skin care, and makeup. The value for my box assortment was around $148!

Above is the card I received.
