The Beauty Crop Lipped Cream Lip Kit ($20) This duo coordinates wonderfully, however, I feel like this color and finish are better for fall, it’s too dark and bold for my summer look. This dried down to a matte finish but it didn’t feel too drying on my lips. It didn’t dry instantly so you have a little bit of time to play with it and get it where it needs to go. When I decided I had enough I simply applied a lip balm and then wiped it all off. I know the tip on the liner is broke in my picture, but that was my fault since I was holding the wand in one hand while trying to remove the cap from the liner and I may have busted it myself. I used a standard sharpener to get it back into shape.

Swatched on top is the lip color and underneath is the coordinating pencil.

Malin + Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturizer ($52) This moisturizer doubles as a primer and considering dimethicone is the fourth ingredient, I think that seems likely. This is a lightweight product and it has hyaluronic acid in the mix, however, that happens to be the last ingredient. Glycerin is higher on the list and chamomile is also on there, and I think that may the source of the scent. It’s fast absorbing too!

Earth Harbor Marina Biome Brightening Ampoule ($38) This lovely face oil is supposed to improve the look of skin, making it brighter while fighting discoloration. You apply it twice a day after cleansing, and only a few drops are needed, otherwise it sits on skin, so make sure to perform a mini massage ritual. Some of the ingredients are green tea seed oil, watermelon oil, jojoba, and blue tansy. It has a scent that I’ve come to associate with blue tansy, which isn’t my favorite but it doesn’t hang around for long.

Wing Me Cosmetics Brow Gel in Clear ($14) This brow gel came with a small wand, which makes it easy to apply and I appreciate it since I think my brows aren’t very big. This product kept my brows in place yet it didn’t feel crunchy or flaky. There’s no scent associated with it either. There’s no bells and whistles here, just a simple, easy to use product that worked well for my needs.

Ciate London Brazilian Glow Eyeshadow Palette ($49) I’m not a huge fan of this brand but I do want to give them a shout out for featuring women who are 40+ on the video demonstrating this palette (it’s at the link above). Like the lip kit shown earlier, I feel like this palette is for fall but then again, I’m sure there are people who wear these colors year round. I wear similar colors but they’re a bit more subdued so this was more of a glam look. I had fall out but that seems common for most shadows but it blended easily and went on smoothly.

I swatched the first and last columns here, plus I added a swipe of Splash in the middle. On the left side, from top to bottom: Breezy, Beach Please, Carefree, and Cool Down. On the right side, from top to bottom: Poolside, Hot Sand, Sunset, and Flip Flops.

Refreshments Pillowy Shave Cream in Citrus Spritz ($9) and Refreshments Razor ($15) I found a bonus item in my box this month and wanted to show it to you. It’s the Refreshments razor kit (handle, two cartridges, and a suction cup) and some shave cream. It came tucked into a silky bag, just like my Ipsy Glam Bag for the month.

That’s my latest BoxyCharm by Ipsy box! I liked the lip products and eye palette, although I think I will get more use out of them in a few months time, the colors seem more appropriate for autumn and winter. The moisturizer was fine and I really enjoyed using the face oil, it made for a mini spa session when I massaged it over my face. The brow gel even worked well for my needs, since I have small brows and don’t want a heavy product on them, this one was just right. The value for my box combo was around $173, not including the bonus Refreshments products.

Below is a box opening picture! What do you think of the new box? I adore the colors, they feel fresh and bright, like a colorful sunrise. Ipsy is getting a makeover and this new box is made of 85% recycled materials and is easily recycled in your curbside bin.
