Aesthete Box by CLOTH & PAPER Summer 2023 box is here with the theme “You Look Good” and it was filled with items to help me not only look good, but to feel good too. Some of the items seem perfect for taking on the road, too! Cloth & Paper is known for their stationery and planner supplies but there was none of that in here, it was all dedicated to treating myself with luxurious products that I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. See what I received below!

Pop & Bottle Vanilla Collagen Cold Brew ($4.25) If you handed me a cup of coffee I probably wouldn’t drink it, I’m a tea person. However, I occasionally indulge in a latte, mocha, or frapped coffee beverage as a treat, because I need a lot of milk and sugar to hide the taste of the coffee. This is a blend of oat milk, coconut cream, dates (for sweetness), and marine collagen peptides. It’s supposed to replace your daily coffee shop run with its promise of healthier skin, nails, and hair. It has a slight bitter aftertaste, possibly because I’m sensitive to bitter flavors, but I had no problem finishing the whole can.

Comb in Leather Case ($38 listed value) This is an exclusive branded item for the box. It’s a wide toothed comb in a leather carrying case. I have actually needed a comb like this for my shower. I want to comb my hair while it still has the conditioner in it, and so I did just that with the comb. It easily combed through my tangles, and then I used it again after rinsing my hair and patting it dry after my shower. Personally, I prefer a comb with a handle, but this one will stay in my shower, so the leather case isn’t of any use to me right now.

Olivier Midy Santal Facial Oil ($146) I enjoy using a face oil several times a week, sometimes before bed, sometimes before sunscreen and makeup. I tried this in the morning and it was mostly absorbed by my skin, I didn’t think it left it overly oily. It smelled herbal to my nose, and I think it’s the carrot seed oil that is the most prominent scent. I would suggest using a hydrosol first to make it easier to spread, just spritz it on (I like the lavender one from Evanhealy) but even a few drops of water might help. This is a blend of 24 plant oils and extracts that provide antioxidants and that are anti-inflammatory.

Cadence Travel Capsule Set ($14 each) I want to start off by saying how much I appreciate the bamboo pulp container these mini capsules arrived in. As for the capsules, they are called The 56 and I believe this color is called “Sand”. You can order them in a variety of sizes and colors and you can even have the lids personalized by either picking out a label of your choice or customize it to your needs. I received two that have the CP branding and they also say “Face Cream”. This size capsule holds 0.56oz, or around a tablespoon amount of product. This size is meant for serums or balm, something that you only need a little bit of for travel – I would need a bigger container for a week’s worth of face lotion, this is kind of like a lip balm container. I think I would have preferred for them to be unlabeled, and then they could hold a couple of ibuprofen pills in my purse. The capsules are magnetized so they should stay connected in your toiletries bag.

Naked Cotton Textured & Classic ($11.49 each box) I received two boxes of 100% cotton “sheets”: one box has sheets that are textured, the other box has sheets that are soft and flat. You may use either version with cleansers, toners, or micellar water, with the “exfoliating” version possibly enhancing the effect thanks to the texture. They open up to measure 4″ x 6″. You could also make your own sheet masks, well in small sections anyways, by soaking the sheet in toner or essence and then placing it on your face for a while.

Palma De Salus Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer ($48) This is very different from the hand sanitizers that I usually use. I mainly use sanitizer if I have no access to water, and I’m most likely going to use it before eating, and it’s usually Purell. This is a sanitizer/cream that leaves the hands smelling highly fragranced, not something I would enjoy before eating. The scent is gender-neutral and a warm floral. It’s not something I would carry around, it’s too big, but it is in a plastic container so I guess you could if you wanted to. I think this is something that looks nice on display and you squirt it on, rub your hands together, wait for the alcohol to evaporate, then sit back and enjoy your silky, perfumed hands.

Leather Travel Case ($119 listed value) This is another C&P exclusive item. It’s a camel-colored leather bag that could double as a handbag, a toiletries bag, or a smaller bag inside of a larger bag, like a tote or backpack. The leather is pebbled and there is a side pocket inside. The back and front look the same and the only branding is a CP tag on the inside pocket. I could fit my wallet, cell phone, and a few other items in here with no problem.

Once again, I enjoyed trying all of the goodies in the latest Aesthete Box! I’m about to go on vacation so I was happy to discover that some of these items are perfect for packing, like the tote, comb, and capsules. The drink is long gone and the cotton wipes will be used up. I thought the face oil was exceptionally nice, I take my time when applying it to breathe deeply and just savor the experience (but I wish I could find my gua sha to enhance the massage-therapy feeling). The hand sanitizer smelled very much like a unisex cologne and I think I am just going to rub it onto my inner elbows and throat and treat it like a perfumed body fragrance. The value for this collection was around $407, using suggested prices for the C&P items. The face oil alone was worth about the same as the price of the box!

There were a couple of coupon codes inside the box.
