The May 2023 Vegancuts Beauty Box theme was Mayday Me Time and there were 5 items that are meant to help us relax and enjoy our beauty routines and I noticed each item smelled lovely. Vegancuts sends vegan and cruelty-free products (and specifically don’t include makeup) and they offer a snack box too! See what I received in this month’s box below!

DEAL: Use the coupon code hellosub to get $5 off your first box on any Vegancuts subscription!   It can only be used once per customer, but it can be used on multiple subscriptions at once so long as they are in the same transaction.

The beauty items shipped in the same box as my snacks but they were placed in this reusable bag to keep them separate.

David’s Sensitive + Whitening Travel Size ($5.95) I think I have at least three containers of this from various beauty boxes, it seems pretty popular! I generally use a toothpaste that contains fluoride as recommended by my dentist but occasionally I will use this non-fluoridated version for a change of flavor. It has baking soda and mint and it leaves my mouth feeling fresh after using. This version is supposed to help whiten sensitive teeth.

Delizioso – Under Eye Brighten & Plump Wand Treatment ($50) This is an under eye treatment but I bet at some point I’m going to accidentally apply this to my lips because it has a wand applicator and it smells very much like fruity lip gloss. It has a base of aloe and Bulgarian rose hydrosol plus hyaluronic acid, bakuchiol, niacinamide, and more. It’s supposed to boost hydration and fight fine lines plus it’s non-greasy and absorbed quickly. Again, not sure why it has “fruit derived flavor oil”, since it’s applied to the sensitive under eye area.

Dr. Botanicals – La Rose Francaise Facial Cleansing Bar ($14.90) This strongly rose-scented bar is supposed to be used on the face but the third ingredient is parfum so you may need to use it elsewhere if you have sensitive skin. The oils are supposed to moisturize the skin while rose extract is supposed to provide antioxidants. I’ll place this near the bathroom sink for washing up.

SoF – Lavender Fields Triple Milled Soap ($1.41) Here is a smaller bar of soap that’s not meant for the face and parfum is the fifth ingredient. It’s supposed to invoke the feeling of gathering lavender in a field although I think “floral” is a better descriptor than just lavender. Again, it will go next to the sink.

SoF – Lavender Fields Moisturizing Hand & Body Cream  ($1.25)  The same notes as the soap above are found in this hand and body lotion, although I can detect a hint of lavender here. It’s made with shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, and more and is supposed to promote a relaxing feeling thanks to the lavender. It’s not greasy and is quickly absorbed.

This month’s Vegancuts Beauty Box sure did smell nice, and 2 out of 5 of the items were soaps, which is one too many for one box. A lot of this month’s value comes from one item, the under eye gel that smells like lip gloss. The rest of the items were fine but not really all that exciting or new. If you like to smell lavender and rose, then this month’s box was probably perfect for you, double soaps and all. I always like the flavor of David’s toothpaste so that was my favorite item from this box. I didn’t receive a product info card this month but did see all of these items listed on the Vegancuts website along with the theme.

Vegancuts Beauty Box is a monthly beauty subscription service that sends 4 or more items ranging from unique cosmetics to luxurious skincare. Best of all, they are 100% cruelty-free and vegan, plus most items are natural and non-toxic! Monthly recurring shipments are $24.95 with free shipping in the USA (there is an additional charge for other countries). This sub is also available in 6 or 12-month terms that do not renew but that do earn you a discount.
