LUXSB – Luxury Scent Box Review May 2023

My latest shipment from LUXSB – Luxury Scent Box featured two upscale niche fragrance brands and three amazing, long-lasting scents! One is a version of a springtime cherry blossom, another smells warm and sunny, and the third is spicy and bold. Here’s everything in my shipping bag! I was especially excited to try the offerings from Ormonde Jayne, as their Ormonde Women is one of my most favorite scents ever.

Your first shipment includes a refillable holder that you just pop your fragrance in, twist to hide the spray nozzle, and then twist back up to expose and spray. The vials hold 0.30oz/9ml of perfume, which works out to around 150 sprays per vial, or enough for 5 sprays a day for 30 days. Some fragrances are so rich that one spray may be enough, which means your fragrance will last even longer.

Ormonde Jayne Sakura Eau De Parfum ($190 for 50ml) Out of the three lovely scents I received, this was the one that most said “spring” to me. Sakura means “cherry blossom” and so I knew it would be a floral fragrance but it goes beyond that, it’s got a lot of layers. Some of the scent notes include mandarin orange, green notes, cherry blossom (of course), musk, and amber. It’s long lasting but doesn’t project widely, so it’s perfect for every day wear or to the office, or to weekend brunch, weddings, or other events where you want to smell good but also you want to be able to taste your food.

Thameen Patiala Extrait De Parfum ($198 for 50ml) The notes for this perfume remind me of a summer day: citrus, orange blossom, rose. For some reason it smells warm on my skin, and a bit sour, and maybe that’s from the aldehydes, amber, and musk, but I think I would wear this in the fall or winter. It’s long-lasting and projects but not too far out of my immediate circle, but enough so that my husband noticed and complimented me on the scent.

Ormonde Jayne Muscat Eau De Parfum ($171 for 50ml) Muscat is a very different scent from the floral Sakura. This one is heady and rich, sweet with a hint of spice, smoky and daring, and not for the faint of heart (or nose). It projects but not overly so, and it certainly lasts a long time — I even detected the scent when I awoke in the morning, almost 24 hours after I first applied the perfume. This amber fragrance is unisex and when you wear it you may notice you hold your head high and your walk becomes almost regal. Own it.

As always, I was super impressed with my fragrances from LUXSB! I love Ormonde Jayne Woman and was thrilled to try two more of their scents and, as expected, they were also amazing. My husband liked the Thameen fragrance on me and even complimented me on how nice it smelled. These are expensive perfumes and may be hard to find in all but the largest cities so it’s nice to be able to try before I buy, and again, some of these only need one spritz to provide almost 24 hours worth of scent so one vial may last for a while.
