Ipsy Glam Bag for May 2023 is finally here, with the theme Let Yourself Bloom! I received a cute bag and five beauty products including skincare and makeup. Read on to see all of my beauty items!

Note: Ipsy sends many variations, so the bag I’m reviewing may not match everyone else’s.

Ipsy Glam Bag The bag for this month has an abstract floral print in bold colors and is in wipeable pleather material. The inside has bright tangerine colored fabric and the pink zipper pull says “IPSY”. Cute!

Korres Greek Yogurt Foaming Cream Cleanser ($3.50) This cleanser had a luxurious feel while I was using it, creamy and foamy but not overly drying to the skin. It has yogurt and is supposed to remove makeup and deep clean pores. It was fragranced, not a plus in my book due to my having sensitive skin, but I did like the way it felt and it was easy to rinse off.

First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Cream ($7.20) is supposed to smooth and plump the area around and under the eyes and does it with the help of caffeine, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid. It has a shimmery peach finish and doubles as a highlighter! It has a light, natural scent and you just tap it on around the eyes to help them look refreshed.

The Beauty Crop BFF Brow Mascara in Clear ($8.99) This is a full-sized yet still petite clear eyebrow gel that helps keep brows in place all day long. It has a small applicator tip which worked really nicely for me and it did keep the brows where I wanted them to be. It dries down and if you happen to rest your head in your hand then you might notice it’s a bit crunchy.

Ciate London Velvet Skin Cream Blush in Sassy I couldn’t find a link to this product. I’m not a fan of this brand but I actually liked this product. It’s a buildable liquid blush with a matte finish. I placed a few small dots on my cheek and then smeared it with my fingers and it dried quickly. I ended up switching to a beauty sponge and got it wet first and then was able to fix my mistakes. I thought it gave me a realistic glow.

Kismet Cosmetics Polished Lip Plumping Gloss in Baby ($18 for full sized) This is supposed to be a plumping gloss but unlike other brands, it doesn’t really tingle. The description says that thin, aged lips is caused by moisture loss and made it sound like the glycerin in this gloss would keep lips moist and therefore plump but that really doesn’t make any sense — you would need to keep lips drenched in glycerin 24/7 from a young age and let’s face it, some of us (yep, me) have naturally small lips. It felt fine as a gloss, although I didn’t care for the pigment setting in my lip lines, which can actually be seen on the model at the brand’s website. I ended up blotting it and that removed most of the pigment and I liked it better that way.

Swatched on top is the Kismet lip plumping gloss and below that is the Ciate liquid blush. It went on dark but I tried to blend it out just underneath the big swatch.

I liked the products in my latest Ipsy Glam Bag! I will get lots of use out of all of them except for the cleanser, it’s has too much fragrance for my skin. The under-eye cream has such a pretty shimmery finish, and the gloss left my lips with a “wet” look that I suppose may help them look fuller. The liquid blush is bright and if you apply too much it can be fixed with a damp beauty sponge. I like the brow gel too, it’s simple to use and left my brows lifted. I’m not sure of the value, I couldn’t find prices and sizes for all of the products online, however, I feel like I received a lot of value for my bag since I will use almost every product!
