Ipsy Glam Bag for January 2023 was themed The Year Of You and came with makeup, skin care, and a generous container of perfume. Keep on reading to learn more about what we received this month!

Ipsy Glam Bag This month’s Glam Bag reminds me of various things: a bath mat, stuffed animal, fuzzy slippers. It’s lilac with spring green trim and a pink zipper and pull (but my pictures all look like a deeper purple shade for some reason). The inside is lined with green nylon fabric.

Nanette Lepore Beauty Abroad Fragrance ($9 value) This scent is supposed to remind one of traipsing about Europe and it even came with an offer to save on a future purchase. This scent has listed notes of cucumber, violet, and musk and indeed it smells musky and fruity with lingering florals all around.
Polaar Gentle Scrub Ice Pure (Unable to find online but about $11.60 listed value) If you like your skin to smell like floral perfume then this is the scrub for you! It also has hydrated silica for gentle scrubbing action and glycerin, pumice, and jojoba oil. It is highly fragranced and the smell lasted for quite a while.
Peach Slices Acne Spot Dots ($4.99, my choice item) Ipsters get to choose an item for their bag and I picked these acne spots to give to my daughter, she loves this type of product! These are hydrocolloid patches that are clear and fit over pimples to help draw out the fluid/pus. They come in three different sizes so choose the one that fits best, apply to clean, dry skin, and remove after about 8 hours (you can wear them overnight).
Milani Cosmetics Anti Gravity Mascara ($11.99) Milani makes me think “grocery store mascara” and if I’m going to buy mascara at the store, it’s going to be Great Lash, which is half the price of this one. I’m not really choosy when it comes to mascara and this one was fine, but I didn’t care for the applicator. I have short lashes so in order to get the middle part of the wand close to the base of my lashes I would end up poking myself in the eye. Both times I used this I somehow ended up with a streak of mascara on my cheek. Performance-wise, it was ok, but kind of clumpy.
Athr Beauty Desert Rose Lip & Cheek Tint Oil Stain in Harmony ($12 for the full size, about $4.50 value) I feel like the name of this is incorrect. It isn’t a lip oil or a stain, it’s just a traditional sticky gloss. I have no problem with the product, just calling as it is! I only applied it to my lips (I don’t want my hair sticking to my face so I skipped using it on my cheeks) and it felt like a traditional gloss and was a darker color than I was expecting, and I liked it. It has cactus flower in the ingredients but it’s near the end of the list. The shade Harmony is described as a light peach tone and I disagree with that too, it’s a rosy shade and the color is buildable. Swatched below.

I thought this was a good month for me and my Ipsy Glam Bag! I received a full-sized mascara and a month’s worth of perfume, plus lip gloss and a scrub that I will not use on my face but will use on my elbows and feet. The acne spot dots are meant for my daughter so that’s the only product I didn’t try personally. The value of this collection is around $42.
