The presentation is very simple and the items were cushioned with paper.

Most items came in their own boxes.

I received a card with the theme — BTS!

The back of the card listed the items and MSRP’s plus a brief description.

Everything in my September 2021 BOXYCHARM! Keep in mind that BOXYCHARM sends many box combos so your box items and value may be different than mine. There are variations in the box – see them here.

GLAMGLOW Youthmud® Glow Stimulating & Exfoliating Treatment Mask ($60) GLAMGLOW is such a flashy brand, their packaging and jars always look super cool. This is an exfoliating clay mask that is best for normal, combo, and oily skin.

Some of the ingredients include kaolin clay, pumice, green tea leaves, and cica.

Flattery will get you everywhere!

Here’s the texture and you can see some black chunks in there, I’m guessing those are tea leaves because they tore easily like paper. The scent is very strong and smells like green tea perfume. I only tried this on my chin and I didn’t notice any tingling but I could feel my skin tightening as the mask dried. The clay is supposed to draw out oil from the pores while the pumice exfoliates dead skin cells.

Georgette Klinger Marula Primer ($32) I generally don’t reach for primers but this one was at least free of artificial fragrance, and that’s a big plus for me. I wore it over moisturizer and sunscreen and am happy to say there was no pilling. Depending on the source, some said to apply before SPF, some after. I’m so confused!

Some of the ingredients are dimethicone, marula seed oil, sodium hyaluronate, horse chestnut extract, and apricot kernel oil. The primer was easy to apply and kept my powder foundation in place all day.

Insert Name Here Quick Slick Hair Essence ($22) Sometimes I get products and discover that they solve a problem I didn’t know existed! This is supposed to tame flyaway hairs to provide a sleek look. The model on the website has an Ariana Grande type of pony, so imagine that if you will.

Water, glycerin, silica, shea butter, and kaolin clay are some of the ingredients.

It’s the same size and style as a tube of mascara so don’t store it in your makeup drawer/Caboodle/organizer. I don’t wear a sleek look like the models so it’s a miss for me. It smells a little like peach candy and a little like chemicals. The peach cap came off the lid the second time I opened it so it may need to be glued back on or just toss that part. I slicked it on my hair and it looked kinda slick, kinda greasy. I’m sure it’s perfect for those who want that particular look.

Pinky Rose Cosmetics Multi-Use Makeup Base Sticks ($20) Does anyone ever get frustrated when they visit a brand’s website and they have no ideas on how to use the product? I don’t even need a video, but some kind of model using the product is helpful. I ended up seeing these sticks in use on their Instagram page.

Here’s the ingredients and the suggested ways to use them.

The lighter color is matte and reminds me of concealer while the darker shade is a shimmery bronze. I applied the pale color first and was surprised to find it was easy to blend, these aren’t like the Birchbox in-house brand LOC sticks (which I love) which dry down and don’t move, but then I had no problems with them disappearing after application either. The darker shade wasn’t as shimmery as I was expecting, which makes it wearable for every day. It looked more orange once I applied but then I applied a darker powder shade in the crease and voila I had a lovely look for fall.

Here’s those shadow stick swatches.

Huda Beauty Demi Matte Cream Lipstick in Day Slayer ($20) I’m always happy to see a Huda product in a beauty box!

It’s kind of hard to see the ingredients here but luckily you can see the list at the link above.

The shade Day Slayer is described as a “versatile day-to-night nude” and I must say I don’t have much luck with nude shades. It looks very different on my lips than it does in my swatch below, it is less pink, more peach. It doesn’t dry down all the way and feels comfortable on my lips. It has menthol added so it leaves a lightly tingling and cooling sensation for a few moments. I ended up drawing over it a bit with a pinky red liner and came up with a color I can live with.

Here is the Huda lippy swatched.

BOXYCHARM sent some good products this month, nothing too exciting on their own but they work well with stuff I already have. The GLAMGLOW is probably the hero item here but since I have dry skin I will need to gift it, I need all the oil I can produce at this point. The primer wasn’t fancy but it worked and it didn’t smell like perfume or pill up when I applied it to my face. The hair slicker will also need to be gifted, it just doesn’t fit my style, but the Huda lippie and the shadow sticks are nice fall makeup products, especially when I mix the lip product with a lip liner. The value for this box combo is around $154!

I got the exact same variation. Glam glow was my choice item (I have oily skin) but the rest of the box was not for me, especially the slick hair stuff. The product card was missing so I had to look up on the web. I usually can use at least 2 out of 5 items but not this month. Overall the box wasn’t bad but not wow
