- Do I need to create an account? Yes
- How often will I receive a subscription box? 6x a year (every other month)
- What do I do if my box is damaged during shipment or I am missing an item? If your box does not arrive or is damaged, please notify us via email at [email protected] within four weeks of receiving your tracking information.
- Can I buy just one box? No
- When will my box ship? Boxes ship October, December, February, April, June and August.
- How much does shipping cost? Free, included in the price of $75 (currently offered only within the contiguous United States).
- How do I update my shipping information? Please contact us at [email protected] if you need to update your shipping address. Please do so before the 7th of the month prior to receiving your next box.
- Can I give as a gift? Yes! Just supply the recipient’s name and address when filling out the shipping information and your own information for billing. No price information is included in the shipment.
- When will I be billed? Upon signing up, your credit card will be authorized for $450 once to confirm for the total annual subscription price. You will then be charged $75 every other month (as a nonrefundable purchase) when your box ships.
- Do you accept returns? No
- What is the cancellation policy? Subscriptions are considered annual and automatically renew. If you’d like to cancel your Subscription after receiving your sixth box, you must do so before the 7th of the month prior to receiving your next box; otherwise you will be billed for the next box. There are no cancellation fees. We do not place “holds” or “skips” on subscriptions. In order to cancel your subscription, you must contact us at [email protected] and request the cancellation.

Like others have commented, the 6-mo commitment is WAYYYY too much for a box you haven’t tried!! If I could test out a month, then decide, I’d be interested. They should have a starter box that you can cancel after. Even if it’s a smaller version than the normal box, at least it would give potential subscribers a feel for the thing. They also need to allow people to skip months they are not interested in. For example, I don’t do holiday decor, so I already know the Dec. box would be a loss for me. So yeah, I’ll stick with Crafter’s box at that price.
I agree. I wish they’d drop the 6 month thing. I always love this box, but not every one is right for me.
I would have fun making these. Even if I ended up not using them, the experience would be fun.
I went back through the spoilers for this box on Hello Subscription and I completely agree with your thoughts here. There are a handful that look super appealing and I’d love to try. There are just as many that leave me feeling… meh.
I do almost all my boxes on the longest subscriptions possible, so I have a lot of 6-mo and 12-mo subs (although I’m letting a lot run out this year). Normally there’s a sizable discount for pre-paying upfront and because I ask for a lot of sub boxes for holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries so the annual subs make great gifts from my hubs and kids.
I’m not opposed to longer terms on boxes at all. It’s just that this type of box feels like it would be more likely to be wasted. With beauty boxes, it might take me a while to get to a new makeup or skincare item, but I will get it it. With this box, I’ll know right away if I’m uninterested in the craft and then what? It’s just trash? I try to gift it (at $75 a box!)? I just… I don’t know what I’d do with the ones I clearly have no interest in, so I’m much more hesitant to do an annual sub.
Yikes. Six month minimum commitment for a box that I haven’t seen reviewed anywhere, at $75 per box? No thank you. And this particular craft looks a little too… arts and crafts at summer camp.
For this price, I’d much prefer The Crafter’s Box, although it is a different kind of box. Perhaps more of a workshop style that teaches a skill than creates a final perfect project.
I’d like to see how this compares/reviews to Adults and Crafts subscription box.
I am glad Hello Subscription features and reviews boxes like this though — craft and stationery boxes and not just beauty or pet boxes. I’ll keep my eye on this one. Maybe I’ll be converted.
That looks fun, but I’m definitely not going to commit to 6 months of something I’ve never tried.
