I appreciate your article very well, the content as well as the attached images you share with me, I will definitely share it with my friends, wish you always good health and write more blogs. Please

Some of you sound very uptight and snooty. The box isn’t that expensive and 100% of the time there’s at LEAST one item that’s worth $50. When my kids open all those crazy blind bags I teach them to be happy with what they got – give it to a friend or repurpose it!

These boxes are treats. They’re great.

  • Adela Picar
    10.19.21

Yes I am not liking the options we are getting! The reason why I joined Fabfitfun was to get skin care and body. I don’t need a cup or a cutting board or ice cube maker! All those things are useless to me. Why don’t you do a fab fit fun for people who like stuff for their home? This will be my last box unless I can cancel?

    • Lindsay
      10.28.21

The problem with that is, FFF is not advertised as a skincare and body box, it’s a lifestyle box. So of course they’re going to include stuff from different categories. If that’s what you’re after you should try a box that’s for skincare.

  • Courtney Erick
    10.02.21

The fall box was so dissapointing. Especially after taking so long to arrive…I ended up with combs I can’t use, unpleasant lip balm, a cheap throw blanket and an eyelash curler I would never ever choose for myself. The collapsible cup is so flimsy I can’t even bring myself to give it away. I really hope the winter box is better, or it will be my last box.

    • Martie Darlin
      10.12.21

Amen girl!! This was my first And last box! It took forever and it sucked!!

  • Dona
    09.20.21

The fall box is awful. I would like to cancel my subscription and in a perfect world I would like a refund! A collapsible cup with 4 straws, a random lip balm rolling around underneath shredded paper and an eyelash curler made in China! What is all of this? Is this really your idea of a fun box?

  • Kelly
    09.08.21

I really enjoy these boxes because they are things I wouldn’t normally just buy for myself.
I have yet to get any items I absolutely can’t use in some way.

I like getting to pick my items and get a couple of surprises too.

  • Melissa Capes
    08.31.21

These boxes are awful this past year or so!! So much junk and recycled crap that didn’t sell in the add-ons. The hair mask by Gloss Modern is horrible for your hair! Unless you enjoy using rubbing alcohol to moisturize your locks! What kind of clean hair masque is that??? I can’t wait to cancel my yearly after the winter box. Even though I have been a member for year’s.

    • Megen
      09.10.21

I absolutely agree! Fall is normally my favorite box but this one was a complete disappointment. As an annual member with the most customizable choice options I still wound up with an completely underwhelming box. The choices of items just weren’t fun (nor fab). I’ve been a member for 3 years and have watched the quality, and variety of items decline steadily. Previously, when making my customization choices I would have a tough time bc so many of the items were awesome and I’d want so many it was difficult to choose. Many times I would even add additional items to my choices bc I just couldn’t choose and would break down and buy at least one other item from each of the sections. Over this last year especially, that has been an issue less and less. And for this fall box in particular, I had no problem choosing just one item from each customization section, and did it very quickly, as there would only be one item (or sometimes no items) in each section that I would actually want. Not only were my choice items lacking in excitement, but my “surprise” items that everyone gets (as an annual member I only get 2 of these as I can customize 6 items total) were just sad. A mini non-alcoholic Heineken and a tiny travel size dove spray on deodorant. This is not at all the level of item I am used to receiving from fff. I was even more upset when I went to look through the fff magazine that comes with the box. Every other time this magazine has had listed each and every item that was available through customization. There would be a description of each item, in a color coded section to tell you who was able to customize those items. Even the fff picks or the “surprise” items were listed there. That was my favorite part! Seeing what the other options were from the surprise picks that I didn’t get. Sometimes I even bought those items I didn’t receive from the edit sale if I liked the description. This magazine didn’t have that section at all. That seemed sketchy to me. Like fff was trying to hide the other options or if there were any. This was my last box of the season before my renewal for next year and it was so thoroughly disappointing that I’m seriously considering not renewing for next year. My guess is winter will be even more disappointing. Better get out before I’m stuck with another crappy year.

        09.25.21

Thanks for the heads up! You saved me from stepping into a situation that, after paging through, I was finding a hard time trying to figure out what the hype was about! Now I know it wasn’t just me!

    • Sarah
      10.19.21

This makes me sad/angry! I took 2 seasons off due to disappointment, but decided I would give it one more try! After reading these reviews, I think I’m regretting my decision to rejoin😕

  • Melody
    08.30.21

I’m an annual subscriber and I selected the Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Pore Minimizing Primer but got the PATTERN Beauty Curl Gel instead. Did this happen to anyone else or am I a one off? And yes, I did email customer service but all I’ve received are a few “we’re behind but will get to you” updates. It’s not the end of the world…but still annoying.

    • Mel
      09.18.21

Melody, I know I am late responding… I received only one of my original customizations! I have no idea what happened to FFF this season, but my guess is that when they sold the $29.99 box without fulfilling their regular members boxes, they took from them – so wrong! I am seriously considering not doing business with them again.

  • Donita
    08.21.21

What is the “Heineken 0.0” in my box. It isn’t listed on the contents of the box ahead . Not very happy with a can of beer????

      08.23.21

I thought the same thing. Wth

    • BadBetty
      08.25.21

      It’s non alcoholic

    • chelsea
      08.25.21

omg chill out… first off, it’s non-alcoholic. second off, don’t be so uptight.

    • Heather
      08.25.21

I was very unhappy with this bonus item too. Apparently, they were sponsored by Heineken this time. 0.0% beer hits all the markets…..people who do drink, young people who may be curious what beer tastes like….even pregnant women or people on medications could enjoy this product. Alcoholics are an excellent market too….perhaps they could be reeled back in to the alcohol world.
What is more universally appropriate than 0.0% beer?
      👎
I want an apology from fff for their lack of judgement on this.

    • Jessica
      08.31.21

      It’s a sample

    • Connie
      09.05.21

It is a sponsored sample so no worries. They are asking feedback on the sample itself. I called because out of 8 items, only 4 of mine were correct… and on top of that, one item was not even on the fall box list so who knows where this comb set came from. But they told me about the beer tho when I told them it was also in the box.

  • Rio
    08.12.21

Does anyone know what is still available in each category?

Looking at renewing my annual but I imagine a lot of the items are out of stock at this point…

    Thanks everyone 🙂

I’d like to know as well. I have to wait until the 20th

    • Sandra
      08.16.21

I would love to know too what’s available, as I would love to rejoin again but it sounds confusing how they do it now and don’t want to rejoin if most the stuff is out of stock like before.

  • Tanya
    08.10.21

I have two subscription and STILL I have $31 in additional customizations. I am getting multiples of the socks, pedicure in a box, and an extra customization 6. I’m especially surprised at how many customization 6s I love! I like the Algenist balm and I want to try the brightening ampoules and DuPhu powder dry shampoo. I can’t believe how many things I am excited to get this time around! The only dud for me is customization 3, but the backpack will come in handy and I might like the collagen (unlikely, but maybe).

  • Abby
    08.07.21

I do really like a lot of the products, I was able to find at least one product I really wanted from each category. I wish in future boxes there would be less creams between all the hair and skin products.. It takes me a really long time to go through those products and sometimes feel like we get overloaded with them and they sit in my bathroom shelves. Thankfully I am an annual subscriber so I was able to stay away from ~most~ of them. Can’t wait for the knit blanket and coach jewelry 🙂

  • Sonia kaminsky
    08.05.21

I have to cancel my subscription. I’m moving and I’m afraid it’ll be lost.

  • Tracy
    08.05.21

I feel like there are a whole lot of repeats in the last few boxes, and even more so with this one. Maybe it is a fun box for new subscribers, but this one is missing the mark for me.

For the cost of the box, the choices are phenomenal. I’m excited!! I don’t know what people expect. Especially the comment about wanting plaid, a scarf, candles, etc when they’re all in there 🤯

I tried to comment this before & for some reason it never posted. Several months ago I kept seeing people who were disgruntled about some of the items they received & said they were either going to throw away items or donate them to Goodwill. In my city we have a Youth Emergency Services Outreach. So this year I plan on going through all of the items I am not interested in from FFF & Ipsy & donating them along with the countless makeup bags I couldn’t possibly use. Some of these homeless/near homeless youth & young adults would be more than overjoyed to receive brand new quality name brand items either as birthday or Christmas gifts. I used to always go through my items & give them to family members. I then found out instead of sharing them with the other family members some people were taking all of the items & giving them to their friends. I will feel much better giving them to people who would appreciate them but can’t afford to splurge on themselves.

I love that you do this. It’s a fabulous idea and I know the youths really appreciate it.

So far there hasn’t been much of the stuff I received that I didn’t like. Some things I wasn’t thrilled on receiving I ended up trying and actually liking them. Though that Phase One blush and dry brush needs a home. Lol. I actually get so many extras bc I can’t limit my choices and now that the box is fully customizable I don’t get items I don’t want.

But will keep this idea in mind should I end up with extra stuff I don’t want in the future.

      Thanks for sharing.

I’m quarterly so by the time I get to customize there are very few options left. The last few boxes have been very disappointing to me, I think it’s time for me to move on 🙁

I agree. I have been a subscriber for a couple of years and it seems my last few boxes are thrown together and I get the slim pickings. I too think it’s time to move on

I love this box! Great variety of products. For anyone considering the Stojo cup in option #2, the Ellen Be Kind Hope and Change box is on sale now (and there’s a link on this site) for $15 and it includes a Stojo cup (only one straw). There are some other fun items in there as well, a hygiene key, a watercolor set, eye masks, a necklace and ear buds. (My ear buds didn’t work). Very good deal at $15, but I sure would not pay $50! There are also 2 other Be kind boxes, one is $15 and one is $25. I purchased all 3 to get free shipping.

According to FFF these are the additional customization item prices:

    Customization 1: $15
    Customization 2: $15
    Customization 3: $10
    Customization 4: $7
    Customization 5: $7

Last box customization #6 was $10 but I was told by the customer service rep that the price hasn’t been decided for this category yet and would be $10-$15. I think it should be $10 because it’s insane if they would raise the price just for that category.

Does anyone know when to sign up and get the fall box as the first box? I unsubscribed for summer but actually see a lot in this box I like. The website still says it’s get the summer box if I reactivate now.
I’m glad they’re mixing home goods with skincare, and it seems like they’re doing their best to give options of different kinds of things in each choice category.

What the heck FFF?!?!? This is the 3rd box full of stuff that is not my cup of tea- I’m so sad-Why do we have so many facial products to choose from? Why not things like wool socks, soft blankets, mugs, candles, makeup, plaid items for the fall, fall bags- things that are fall appropriate. I’m so disappointed and will receive another box of stuff that I will not even use. The only two items I’m excited for is the pumpkin pedicure and the candle- my luck they will be the first to be gone -ugh

    • Amy G
      07.25.21

I agree there’s a ton of face (and hair!) stuff this time, but there are socks, a blanket, 2 candles, and at least 1 item in plaid (the hat). Maybe the socks aren’t wool and I don’t think we know how soft the blanket is, but it seems like a lot of the things you requested are in this box.

    • ela

the pumpkin pedicure is terrible, it is full of cinnamon and I got allergic rash from it. cinnamon is terrible for your skin!

      • JMM
        07.26.21

So I looked up the ingredients and while there is “fragrance” there is no actual cinnamon in any of the pedicure steps. Facts are good.

      07.28.21

I agree! I never end up using the majority of the products that I choose, as far as face and hair items. I’d rather have some type of shawl or scarf or some type of chilly weather item. Even items for the home are better than the beauty products that we get to choose from.

Ummm 🧐🤔 I believe there was a plaid hat, a waffle blanket, and a candle in this months box…. Soooooo I’m not sure if you know this comment section is for FabFitFun maybe you got the wrong subscription.

      • Megen
        09.10.21

How long have you been a member? For fall and winter there used to be tons of plush items to choose from not just one in each category. Out of all the customizations there would be a blanket, a scarf, slippers, a wrap sweater, cozy socks, a candle or two, pretty mugs, cozy hat w/gloves, chic gloves, etc. not just three items across 6 categories. This is absolutely not exemplary of the fall boxes of the past. Coming from someone that used to have to add an item at each of my 6 customizations, and reluctantly picked one from each category this time around, these just are not the same at all. They have been pushing the Algenist eye balm since I first became a member 3 years ago, and I finally broke down and picked it in one of my customizations bc everything else in that category was literally a bundled together mess. So they are now essentially forcing products that they couldn’t get rid of on customers by adding in cheaper and cheaper items that those of us that have been around can recognize. You also used to get 8 total items 6 you customize as an annual member, 2 they pick for you from two additional categories of 3 items and then whatever sponsored item they tossed in (usually some candy bar). This time it was just your 6 items and then the two sponsored items from dove and Heineken (which was in terribly poor taste). And they tried to cover up the fact that you didn’t get additional fff picks by leaving the items section out of the magazine like those of us that have been long time members wouldn’t notice.

    07.25.21

I’m excited for this box. Usually there is at least one category where I can’t find something I like but not this time around. I think a lot of the issues people have are that they are looking at the retail value and in sub boxes it’s just inflated. When I look at the things as having only paid around $10 an item I’m super happy with it. We are all different and like different things so if it’s not for you that’s cool. Don’t buy it.
I think I’ll get the frying pan, jewelry + candle, coffee cup, socks, purlisse and the bundle with earth harbor marina. I’ll use it all and for what I’m paying I think it’s a pretty good deal

I am actually really excited for category 6 and the Fall 2021 box in general. There are 1-3 items in each category, even category 5 which rarely happens.

I think with any subscription box, you have to pick one that speaks to you. So many people rave about the box formally known as Causebox, but for me, it’s just not my jam. So if you hate this box or FabFitFun, it’s good to cancel because this is not the box for you. There really is no reason to dump on those of us who are excited for the best fall box I’ve seen since I joined.

      07.25.21

No one said they hated FFF….everyone is entitled to there own opinions about this box. I have been an annual for long time, and I must agree this is one of the worst boxes FFF has put out. If you like it..good for you. But for those that don’t..we can have our opinion as well. Does not mean we hate FFF…js

          08.27.21

        09.10.21

🤣 the cactus cup! Oh man! I blocked that out. And it was “valued” at $13!! When I pulled that out as one of my fff picks and saw that they could have given me a lip mask instead I was like what the heck!?! Lol

I gave it to my MIL who has a Cinco de Mayo party in her neighborhood every year to put her libations in. She loved it.

    07.24.21

What a dismal state of affairs FFF has become. Its like a garage sale grab box. Just a collection of worthless dust collectors. But, hey, they gave us choices! We get to choose from so very many dust collectors! Would you like something that will sit unused under your couch for the next 8 years? Get the food trivia set! Something that can be forgotten on the floorboard of your car? An ugly baseball cap! Or do you dream of something worthless to clog a shelf in your kitchen? Check out the palatial 2.5 quart “Dutch oven” for pretend cooking! All subscribers will get junk to consume space in their bathrooms until it is eventually relocated to a landfill (hopefully not the ocean floor) per choice #6.FFF is like Dollar General, but you don’t have to leave home!

I skipped the last box and now I’m doubting whether or not there will be anything to use the credits towards. One thing is for sure though, I’m glad I cancelled.

    • Sam
      07.24.21

What a shame you feel this way.. I’m over the moon with the choices, and I can’t wait to receive mine ♥️ A super cute Dutch oven I can make breakfast in for my hubby and I, a fall smelling candle for cozy nights in, jewelry I’m exited about and new cosmetics to try.. Whats not to love ? This subscription clearly did not bring you joy, so I agree it’s a good thing you cancelled. I personally couldn’t be happier

      • Kelly
        07.24.21

I agree I like the very wide variety with this one. One of the better boxes for sure!

      • Hepburn
        07.25.21

I feel the same way. I mean, it’s a lifestyle box and everything in the choices supports that. Not to mention…it’s only $50 a quarter, how much more can you reasonably expect?

      • KayKay
        07.25.21

I do think it’s helpful for FFF to get the negative feedback, though, so that they can improve for future boxes. It’s important to hear from people who aren’t happy, as well are people who are thrilled with these choices. If people who cancel don’t leave comments, FFF won’t know where they fall short. I, personally, don’t hate FFF – and have an annual – but I feel the last box was fantastic and this one just doesn’t compare.

      • Autumn
        07.26.21

I agree. The only customization option i don’t like is #6. I would have liked it if the Cali Cosmetics Body Wash – Capri and the Earth Harbor Marina Brightening Ampoule and Beautaniq Beauty Guardian Angel Revitalising Eye Gels or the Beauty Papier Golden Superfood Shower Gels were all one option.

    • Kelly
      07.24.21

This is actually one of the better boxes.. A huge improvement from last fall and Christmas this were awful. If it doesn’t bring you joy cancel and let others enjoy 🙂

    • Ana
      07.25.21

For the person above who wrote the unkind review and cancelled, sorry they feel this way. If you’re quarterly, I agree this box is not for most people because there are some choices that a) may sell out by the time it comes to quarterly to customize and b) frankly some options are not quite super great and unwanted leftover choices for quarterlies, if any, may feel like it’s cluttering your place. IMHO, if you’re annual, more power to you as this is one of the best box I’ve seen from a subscription company in a awhile. Love some of the selections and can’t wait to customize. Even if you’re annual and hate it–that’s good! Glad someone cancelled, more quantities for the rest of us who do like this box! Love!

      • KateM
        07.25.21

What well written responses to the initial comment (although I was intrigued a little at what the next shamming item would be), and it is true this is not a one size fits all box for everyone. I was fortunate enough to sign up for the annual membership (when it was “first box free and pay $140 something for the last 3 boxes earlier this summer) as I had been a seasonal subscriber for a couple of years. I did end up with 2 summer boxes this way, but I had to switch when they changed from 8 items/box to the new Choice 6. If I don’t personally love something, I can find a gift for someone out of the choices! Whether it be a teacher/co-worker gift, family or friend gift etc…I don’t know a person that has EXACTLY the same likes and this sure has variety. I’m excited for this to be my first true annual choice season with all items available from the start!

      • KayKay
        07.25.21

I don’t think that review was unkind, just honest.

        • shakingmyhead
          07.26.21

I agree. Honesty is good. Not everyone will like this box and it is good for people who are considering subscribing to see all opinions about it.

    • Kat
      08.10.21

I agree with so many of your comments especially the one about the 2.5 qt Dutch Oven. Although it’s cute and I love the fact that you can wash it in the dishwasher what exactly are you supposed to cook in that? Whenever I use a Dutch oven, which is actually often & I really do need a new one, that size would never work. It is way too small for anything practical. I don’t want a cute display piece in my kitchen. I need a Dutch oven that I can actually cook in.

Yes, I love cute items but I really love items that are useable. I don’t mean used maybe once every six or seven months or once a year but used on a very regular consistent basis. Getting something that’s cute or “that’s a cute idea” those items tend to end up in a drawer or closet somewhere. Every one of us knows that’s the honest truth. They eventually get donated or sold in a garage sale or thrown away. That’s not what I want. Give me choices of items that I’m going to use and it makes sense to use. We only need so many hair treatments and facial treatments and body lotions, etc. I swear by now we should all look 40 years younger with all those items that we’ve been able to choose from.

    • Kat
      10.10.21

It’s cool, your opinion but… why do you need to insult other people’s tastes at the same time? I got that plaid baseball cap because I think it’s nice – perfect after going back home from the gym when it’s not cold enough for a beanie hat.
Small Dutch oven is perfect too, I live alone and don’t need a massive one, I’m actually going to cook stuff in it – not just pretend🙃
Just chose something else or cancel, nobody forces you to subscribe, it’s not exactly rocket science.

  • Amy G
    07.24.21

Wow — I love this category. I have the infinity scarf and bracelet from last year and love and use both regularly.

I am disappointed, though, that this is another category with a brand that is NOT cruelty free — Algenist. (Others may be as well, but I was most excited about the under eye cream so I looked it up.)
