Ipsy Glam Bag Ultimate is a super-upgraded version of Ipsy’s monthly glam bag! The Glam Bag Ultimate is $50 per month, and will have 12 products: 8 full-size and 4 deluxe samples, plus a makeup bag every month. Ipsy promises a value of $250+ each month.

See our Ipsy Glam Bag Ultimate explainer for all the details on how this subscription works!

My items were cushioned with egg crate foam. Everything arrived in perfect condition!

Some of the items came in their original boxes. So much stuff to play with!

I received a brochure from Ipsy. The theme for October is You’re Magic!

On the inside I found beauty tips for October, with a trick and a treat. You can find info on all of your Ipsy products, including ingredients, under your account on the Ipsy website or app.

The back of the card had a few tips and reminders for subscribers.

Here’s everything in our box this month!

Ipsy Glam Bag The Glam Bag is made of black vegan leather and is bigger than the bag that comes in the $12 basic subscription. The front has a mystical eye and some beauty products, it’s the same design as the base Glam Bag and the design is metallic gold.

There is a gold tone star and moon zipper pull.

The back says “You’re Magic”. The bag measures about 6″ x 6″.

The inside is lined with black polyester material and has the Ipsy badge sewn inside.

Dr. Brandt Pore Dermabrasion (Full size, $58) Subscribers get to choose a product every month from a list and I chose this exfoliator! It has a fine abrasive texture that reminds me of baking soda and smells a little minty. It also has salicylic acid, a beta hydroxy acid that helps remove dead skin cells with a gentle chemical and not just by scrubbing them off. You can scrub gently to tone it down for your skin type, but every once in a while I just want something kinda gritty and this did the job for me.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Pore-Tight Toner (Full-ish size, $15) Glow Recipe sells two sizes of this toner and this is the smaller of the two, but it doesn’t say travel size. It’s like they had medium and large so they sent medium. According to my daughter this was all the rage on her Instagram feed at some point.

There is this plug in the cap to keep it from spilling during shipping, pull it out before using.

Swipe over the face with your fingers or a cotton pad after cleansing and let the PHA’s and BHA’s get to work removing dead skin cells for a brighter appearance. Leave on the skin and follow with serum, moisturizer, and SPF (during the day) or a sleeping mask (at night). Cactus water gives it a gel-like consistency, watermelon juice and hyaluronic acid lock in moisture, and tea tree oil sooths inflammation. It dries pretty quickly and smells strongly of cucumber.

Barefoot Venus The Vanilla Effect Instant Hand Repair (Mini, $7) What a cute illustration on the container, like a cross between a pin up girl and a fairy! It’s a thick hand cream but it left my hands smooth and it smells like warm vanilla. Shea and mango seed butters, glycerin, and sweet almond oils are some of the moisturizing ingredients you’ll find in this product.

Catherine Malandrino Romance de Provence Eau De Parfum (Deluxe sample, $22.10) If you are into floral fruity gourmands then this is your scent! It starts off with a blast of sweet sugared berries and reminds me of La Vie est Belle or Flowerbomb. Fragrance notes include black currant, pear, jasmine, and vanilla.

Air Repair Eye Cream (Full size, $24.50 MSRP, currently $16) I collect all the eye creams nowadays, and love trying new brands and types. This one has aloe, glycerin, and lots of plant oils and extracts. It sank in quickly and didn’t leave the area greasy. It has a very light scent that reminded me of cinnamon, which isn’t even an ingredient!

Ciaté London Watermelon Burst Hydrating Lip Oil (Deluxe sample, $8) I know this says lip oil but it’s a hydrating lip balm that is non-greasy, non-sticky, and feels good on my lips.

It has watermelon seed oil, avocado oil, and vitamin E to help keep lips hydrated. It also has a lovely watermelon scent that adds a burst of summer to my fall routine.

LoveCraft Beauty Blush Palette (Full size, $39) What a pretty design on this palette! It’s pretty and feminine yet a little edgy too.

Ingredients and the shade names are on the back.

There is a mirror on the inside so you can use it on the go.

The colors are pretty and wearable, although the shade in the middle is more of a bronzer/contour on my face. I used Altheda first and then applied Oscalia under to contour and the powders blend easily, and are powdery, which happens with talc-based products. You can also swirl the colors together to come up with even more color combos.

Swatched from top are Altheda (rose), Dauphine (apricot), and Oscalia (deep rose). I appreciate that they aren’t sparkly but you can see how powdery they are here.

Dominique Cosmetics Sweater Weather Eyeshadow Palette ($29 listed value, available here for $10.17) I couldn’t find this on the Dominique Cosmetics website but I did see it on Amazon.

Ingredients and shades were on the back.

The shades were also listed under the pans. They have cozy, warm names like “Cuddle”. I like these shades, they make a nice change from the warm fall colors.

Each shade has a tiny bit of shimmer, but nothing overwhelming or super dazzling. I wore Fuzzy as a base and then used Chill on the lids. I combined Messy Bun and Sweater Weather for the crease and the look was bolder than I was expecting. These are talc based and there was a bit of fallout but it was easy enough to brush off.

Here they are swatched and you can catch a bit of that glimmer in this pic.

The Balm Cosmetics Will Powder Blush (Travel size, $5.50 value) I love The Balm products, they are made in America and never have talc or parabens.

They make it easy to recycle and you can push the little pan out from the back if you like.

This says it is blush but it is very light and sparkly. I used the darker blush (shown below) and then applied this over the top part of my cheeks and down my nose. It gave me a lit from within glow. Swatched below.

OFRA Cosmetics Blush in Charm (Full sized, $29) I only found the smaller version of this blush online, but this is a full 10g as opposed to the 4g available.

The shade is described as “natural peach matte” and gave me a vibrant flush of color. It can be built up and it went on very smoothly. Swatched below.

Belle En Argent Auteur Matte Lip Color in 3 Plays (Full size, $20) According to this brand’s website, this shade is a limited edition!

The shade is described as “rosy taupe” and went on super smoothly. It has argan oil, castor seed, and other oils and felt smooth on my lips. It isn’t one of those drying matte long lasting types, and so it felt comfortable, non-sticky, and moisturizing. Plus, I loved the color! Swatched below.

Swatched from top: Ofra blush, The Balm blush, Belle en Argent lipstick.

Naked Cosmetics 4 Piece Pigment Set (Full sized, $39.99 listed price) As I was comparing the shade colors on my containers to the ones listed on my Ipsy dashboard, I noticed that my colors did not match. Please note that your colors may vary too. I could only find these available as individual pots, which are $14.99 each, so these would cost $59.96 as a set.

These are loose pigments and are not limited to use as eyeshadows. They can be applied to cheeks or even mixed with balm and applied to the lips. Or use as highlighter.

Ipsy says I received SN-2, NN-1, SN-4, and SN-5. I received BB-3, BB-5, RF-1, and SN-2. The letters designate the collection, such as Rain Forest, Blushing Bronze, or Sierra Nevada.

There is undeniably some sparkle here! Swatched from top: RF-01, SN-02, BB-05, and BB-03.

My October Ipsy Glam Bag Ultimate had an assortment of skin care, makeup, perfume, and hand lotion and of course a cool looking bag in which to carry my products! My Sample Choice item, the dr. Brandt exfoliator, was worth more than the price paid for the subscription, so it was like getting all of the rest of the box for free! There was a bit of overlap, like with all the blushes and eyeshadows, but I still had a blast trying it all out, and with two daughters I always share my bounty with them. The value for my assortment was around $290!
