I can’t wait to see what’s inside!

Everything in my box!

I always get a tea postcard. I usually place it on my desk to look at throughout the day.

I received a sheet with all of the teas listed. It has a coupon code for an online shop purchase so I can save more on my favorites!

I also found some disposable tea bags. This is loose leaf tea so we need a way to separate the tea leaves when finished steeping.

All of my teas! Amoda sends a combo of black, green, white, and herbal pretty much every month. Most of the time everything is a blend, but I was surprised (and happy!) to see a single origin black tea.

Justea Nandi Hills Black Tea is grown in Kenya and I must say I don’t usually think of tea as coming from Africa!

The leaves steeped into a beautiful amber, almost orange color in my cup. It made my mouth slightly pucker from the tannins so I went ahead and added sugar and milk and it was a delicious version of breakfast tea. There was a hint of something fruity in the flavor.

Beach House Teas Sea Breeze Green Tea is a green tea blend for a lower amount of caffeine that still gives an energy boost midday.

Green tea, jasmine, peppermint, and lime peel are the ingredients here. I thought it tasted like a peppermint tea but with some citric acid added. I didn’t taste or smell jasmine, and the lime peel is more of a feeling than a taste, like drinking a sour patch candy.

Justea Purple Rain Tea is made with purple tea, which just so happens to also come from Kenya. Plus, it has a cool name and now Prince will be singing in my head the rest of the day.

Purple tea is joined on stage with lemongrass, hibiscus, apples, and more. My tea was rather sour so I added sugar, and then more sugar. It doesn’t taste so much like tea, more like warm cranberry juice with notes of lemongrass. I accidentally left it too long to cool and it tasted like fruit punch, which was actually really good! Brew double strength, add lots of sugar, and pour over ice. It wasn’t really purple but was a beautiful red pink color in my cup.

Beach House Teas Timberland Meadows Tea was perfection in my cup. I don’t usually say that about herbals but this was wonderful.

It has rooibos, but not too much. It also has lavender, chamomile, and the tips of cedar trees. It smells relaxing, which is a good thing because those herbs are known to induce relaxation. It also tastes good, especially with a big spoonful of honey (for the antioxidants, yeah, that’s the ticket!).

I had fun trying these new-to-me flavors from Amoda! The brands are familiar to me through past boxes from this subscription but the flavors were novel and interesting. I love a good basic black tea and the herbal was fabulous, just what I wanted on a cool evening before bed. I knew Purple Rain was going to be cool because of the name and of course the green tea actually had a cooling feeling in my mouth thanks to the peppermint. I can’t wait to see what comes in the October box, bring on fall!
