This is a review of the Premium box!

This month’s box is in violet!

The box was well-sealed when it arrived.

As always, there are LOTS of snacks in this box!

The box also includes an information booklet!

Featured on this part of the booklet is Sugoi Mart. They gave us a $3 off coupon code which we can use on orders $15 and up!

The booklet also features selfies of subscribers with their Japan Crate Box.

Inside the booklet is a chart of contents that lists all the snacks from three different box sizes. There are 3 different subscription levels available: The Mini includes 5 items, the Original includes those items PLUS another 5 items, and the Premium includes those 10 items PLUS another 5 items.

This month’s bonus item is Lovely Halloween Strawberry Pocky. There is also info about festivals held in Japan during October, and some Japanese vocabulary words.

The interior of the box has Halloween themed doodles and illustrations!

Everything in my October 2020 box!

Aerial Rich Cheddar Cheese Flavor. Everybody loves cheese! We enjoyed this cheesy bite-sized snack featuring 4 crispy layers made with corn. We don’t always finish snacks in one sitting but it turned out different this time!

Pumpkin Pudding Tohato Caramel Corn. Our favorite Tohato caramel corn came with a Halloween twist this month! The packaging is a little creepier and its flavors are inspired by Japanese pumpkin. Each piece is sweet, light, and airy, making it a delight to munch on.

Pukupuku Tai Zombie. The famous Taiyaki snack in Japan now has this zombie-inspired look for Halloween! With the blue and black color combination of the fish-shaped snack, this version indeed looked a bit creepy. No worries because it still has the delicious airy chocolate inside!

Transform Chocolate Halloween. Here’s a pack of hard-shelled chocolate candies in different colors that remind me of M&M’s. The sweetness is just right and my kids had fun munching on them!

Halloween Vanilla Angel Pie. This chocolate-covered sandwich with a rich vanilla flavored filling is one of the best surprises of this box! It’s so yummy and I like how soft the cake sandwich is. This is a perfect afternoon snack. Pair his with a glass of milk and you’re all set!

Halloween Umaibo. We also received an Umaibo snack with Umaemon on its packaging. In case you don’t know who he is, Umaemon is their official mascot and it looks like the popular anime character Doraemon. As for the crunchy puffed corn, it’s still the tasty and savory Umaibo we know! No wonder it’s a popular snack in Japan!

Lovely Halloween Strawberry Pocky. Dating back to 1966, this snack has been enjoyed by generations of Japanese families. They first came in chocolate flavored biscuit sticks then eventually had strawberry coated variant like this one. The sweetness and creaminess of the strawberry coating compliments the salty crunch of the biscuit. This is definitely a hit in our household!

Halloween Koala March. Cookie snacks come in all shapes and sizes. One example is this Koala shaped biscuit with a sweet filling inside!

They even have custom designed Koala prints on this Halloween pack! They are too cute to eat!

Hi Chew Mini Pieces. It’s a pack full of chewable candies in different flavors, including grapes, orange, ramune, and cola. They are small but they are flavorful!

Monster Party Gummy. This gummy candy looked weird, it’s like a black blob inside the plastic packet. When I finally tried it, I found that it’s just like the typical gummy. It’s sweet and definitely chewy! No regrets in trying it!

Zombie Gum. The packaging of this gum has a creepy print on it, imagine a zombie looking for a gum instead of a brain! The gum is actually pretty good, as it has a yummy grape flavor and it eventually turns your tongue into blue!

Blue Gum. Here’s another gum that leaves a blue color on the tongue! It tastes good and surprisingly, the taste lasted longer than I expected!

Monster Stamp. Do you remember when our parents used to tell us not to play with our food? Well, this is the time to play with our food because it’s really made for that! Simply lick the designed side and start stamping anywhere you want. It even came with Halloween patterns!

Sonomanma Monster Gum. This gum is perfect for Trick or Treat! Every pack comes with 3 gums inside and one of them is extremely sour. You can share these with friends and see who will get the sourest one!

Puccho Halloween Assort Russian Roulette. It’s a pack of individually wrapped chewing candies! They come in different delicious flavors such as grape, muscat, and orange, but there’s also one that’s habanero flavored. It can be up to your luck if you will get the hottest candy ever. The concept is fun and it gave us another idea for a Halloween game!

Okashi Na Mizu Ame. As always, our box includes a DIY Candy Kit. It includes a mini tray and spatula that we can use to mix the flavors, plus 3 candy gel packets. The blue packet is ramune-flavored, the yellow one is lemon-flavored, and the red one is strawberry-flavored. They can be enjoyed individually and you can also try mixing them all together to achieve a yummy grape taste!

Pac-Ncho Choco Petit Pack HW. Here’s another pack of chocolate treats for everybody, and this time it features Mickey Mouse and friends in their Trick or Treat attires! Inside, there are small crunchy biscuits with Disney characters stamped on them. My kids tried it as well and we had fun eating them!

Lipton Crème Brülée Milk Tea. There’s no trouble finding Wally this time as he is featured on this refreshing crème brülée flavored Milk Tea! I haven’t tried this specific flavor before and surprisingly it hit the right spot! It’s sweet and I love how creamy this is. The hint of tea is just right, now all I need is a scoop of boba!

This box is jampacked! With Halloween on its way, the items are perfectly themed to match the upcoming season! We totally loved the Russian Roulette candies, which puts an exciting twist to Trick or Treating. The biscuits and the candies were a hit with my kids, and we were also thrilled to see our old favorites in their Halloween-inspired packaging, like the Umaibo and the Tohato caramel corn. Even this month’s featured drink is a win because of its satisfying sweetness. Once again, Japan Crate didn’t disappoint! They have smaller boxes available for solo snacking, but if you want to share the yummy snacks with your friends or family, getting the Premium box is a good idea!
