Dollar Tea Club is a monthly subscription that sends loose-leaf teas in an amount that works for you. They have a few different plans to choose from and all of the teas are made without artificial flavors. The teas are ethically sourced through direct trade, which means better quality tea while knowing the farmers are paid reasonable wages and treated with respect.

Hate waiting in line just to get your name spelled wrong? We’re on a journey to make exploring new tea blends fun for everyone.. yes, even coffee drinkers.

Everything in my recyclable mailer! I am reviewing The Explorer plan, which is $1 for 3 samples of tea, which is enough for 6-8 cups. A 3-pack of honey sticks is another $1.95. Shipping is extra. They offer two other plans: The Sensei and The Sommelier. Both plans include filters, a strainer with your first order, and varying amounts of tea based on which plan you choose.

I received a card welcoming me to the club! Like a tea in your subscription? Order more on the Dollar Tea Club’s website.

The back of the card had a coupon code for a gift subscription.

Raw Canadian Honey Stix ($1.95 for 3) I received a bonus honey stick.

You can add honey sticks to your order every month. The honey is from Canada and there is 1 teaspoon in each BPA-free tube, and has 15 calories. It’s super tasty!

I also received 3 Paper Filters.

You can add extra filters to your order for an additional charge. Keep in mind that Dollar Tea Club sends loose leaf tea so if filters aren’t your thing you can use a tea ball or strainer to separate the leaves after steeping.

Dollar Tea Club sends interesting blends rather than single teas. I can’t wait to try these flavors!

Summer Pie is like dessert in a cup – fruity, and with tons of flavor! I used 1 teaspoon but it is recommended that you use 1.5 tsp, but I doubt you will need that much.

Currants, elderberries, and hibiscus are the major players here and this was kind of sour so I added sugar, and then some more sugar. It’s like fruit punch by that point! I think that if I poured this over ice then that is exactly what it would be like. PS, this was the most beautiful rose red color in my cup!

Swedish Mint I like mint tea, made with real mint, but this was green tea with mint flavor! I’m pretty sure it gets its minty blast from peppermint essential oil.

The green tea leaves unfurl while steeping. The tea was tannic so I added lots of sugar, and then I poured it over ice. You know how when you chew mint gum (or brush your teeth) and then you open wide and get an icy sensation in your mouth? This had the same effect!

Lemon Ginger I was a little wary at the description of this tea, since lemon and black tea seems like an odd combo, but it was delicious!

Black tea, lemon, pineapple, and ginger were a few of the ingredients but all I could really taste was tea, lemon, and warmth. I didn’t taste any ginger at all. I needed to add sugar and since it was a little tannic I went ahead and added milk too and really enjoyed this tea.

I was excited to try the tasty flavors in my July shipment from Dollar Tea Club! The blends were unique and flavorful, and with varying levels of caffeine to fit my needs throughout the day. I especially liked the Lemon Ginger black tea, the flavor was so tasty and I think it would taste good iced too, and as if the lemon had already been added. Dollar Tea Club is a fun and inexpensive way to discover new teas throughout the year!
