This is a review of the Premium box!

The snacks came in the usual bright-colored red box.

As always, there are LOTS of snacks in this box!

The box also includes an information booklet!

Featured on this part of the booklet is Sugoi Mart. They gave us a $3 off coupon code which we can use on orders $15 and up!

The booklet also features selfies of subscribers with their Japan Crate Box.

This month’s featured DIY snack is Doki Doki Fishing!

Inside the booklet is a chart of contents that lists all the snacks from three different box sizes. There are 3 different subscription levels available: The Mini includes 5 items, the Original includes those items PLUS another 5 items, and the Premium includes those 10 items PLUS another 5 items.

Everything in my July 2020 box!

Fuwatto Shrimp. It’s a bag of delicious Japanese rice crackers in shrimp and salt flavor. It’s made from gluten-free, clean ingredients and each piece features a rough, crunchy texture. The cracking sound it produces in every bite is satisfying!

Salt Lychee Kit Kat. This month’s Japan Crate bonus item is a pack of KitKat bites featuring the limited edition Salt Lychee flavor! It contains their trademark crispy wafer, coated with creamy white chocolate infused with tart lychee and a kick of saltiness. I love the well-balanced mix of flavors! Inside the bag are 11 pieces of individually packed KitKats perfect for sharing with friends and family!

Doritos. This snack is one of our all-time favorites! It’s the Japanese version of Doritos and it features crunchy corn chips infused with strong wasabi flavor. Better prepare a bottle of ice-cold beverage when you munch on this one!

Pokemon Pure Gummy. These gummy candies are made from fruit puree and packed in a limited edition pouch featuring our favorite Pokemon, Pikachu! Each piece is soft and chewy and I also like the blend of tropical fruit and soda flavor that I get in each chew.

Puccho. I received the limited edition Demon Slayer-themed gummies! Not all subscribers will get this, so I’m really lucky. Inside it are 7 individually wrapped gummies and a limited-edition card that features Nezuka Kamado, one of the protagonists of Demon Slayer who is characterized by her long hair, pink kimono, and bamboo gag. The gummy candy itself is sweet, soft, and chewy!

Shigekix Energy Gummy. This pack of energy drink-flavored gummies are from the same makers as the previous pack of Demon Slayer gummies. It also features a Demon Slayer packaging and the one I received has Tanjiro Kamado, the main protagonist of the series and the brother of Nezuko! These were really sour, making my mouth pucker as soon as I tasted it!

Cool Dango. Dango is a well-known dumpling-shaped sweet treat from Japan made from mochiko. It’s mostly eaten as a dessert. Each piece is covered with an enticing cooling powder that is perfect for summer!

Bubble Soda Ramune. Infused with ramune flavor, this hard candy produces a tingly bubble sensation when placed inside your mouth. It’s so fun to eat!

Sumikko Gurashi Gum. This gum features a cute Sumikko Gurashi-themed wrapper! Inside is a unique yogurt-flavored gum. I like its soft and chewy texture plus the long-lasting flavors!

Lemon Umaibo. Umaibo is another popular Japanese snack and a staple in one in our Japan Crate boxes! This month’s version features a sweet, tangy lemon flavor with a crunchy texture. It really makes a filling on-the-go snack.

Grilled Chocolate. Having a late-night chocolate craving? This chocolate would be perfect for that! It’s a handy and bite-sized mini cupcake filled with rich chocolate flavor. You’ll only need one bite and your cravings will be satisfied!

Kurobe Gum. This magical gum turns your tongue to black in an instant. But you don’t need to worry, once you’re done with the gum, the color of your tongue will return to its original color! This gum is a hit with kids!

Chuchu Gummy. It’s a lip-shaped gummy candy, and its name literally means “kiss” in English. This gummy is so juicy, and its grapefruit flavor spreads rapidly inside the mouth in every chew!

Puchipuchi Fortune Telling Ramune. These are hard-shelled, bite-sized, round-shaped candies in three different colors: red, yellow, and blue. They are also ramune-flavored. They are called fortune telling ramune because when you get a piece, you will see a symbol beneath it and it corresponds to your fortune for that day.

Double circle = great

Single circle = good

Triangle = So-so

X = Bad

Donguri Cola Gum. This cola-flavored candy features a hard outer shell and a sweet chewy center. It was refreshing! Too bad we only have one in the box!

Rilakkuma Gummy. Rilakkuma, a famous fictional bear character from Japan, is featured on this flavorful gummy candy in red apple flavor. It’s chewy and bursting with just the right combination of tartness and sweetness!

Doki Doki Fishing. Here’s this month’s featured DIY snack! It’s based on the Japanese’s traditional game wherein you will be scooping a goldfish using a special scooper. It’s usually played during festivals in Japan. The kit includes a tray, a scooper, a fishing rod, and the candy mixture. To make the snack, put the string into the mold and make sure to run through each of the sea animal shapes. Then, scoop the powder and fill up each mold then follow with water. Wait for it to harden before pulling the fishing rod!

Dydo Blend Dragon Ball Z. We also have a drink in this box, and it’s coffee in a can. If you need a drink to keep you going, this is for you!

A few subscribers received a limited-edition Dragon Ball Z figurine, including me!

Featured on this part of the packaging is a clearer image of how the figurine should look like once it’s set up.

I have Freeza! I can still remember this posture of Freeza where he is trying to deflect the energy ball being thrown by Son Goku!

It’s an amazing figurine! They captured Freeza’s expression really well!

It’s another box full of delicious snacks from Japan Crate! I’m always impressed by their selection of authentic Japanese goodies, and this month’s curation is no different. Treats range from sweet and chocolate-y snacks to savory and spicy snacks and everything in between. My favorites are the KitKat flavored with lychee and the chips infused with wasabi. I’m also happy to get some limited edition items, like the Dragon Ball Z figurine. Whether you want to share Japan’s exceptional flavors to your family or you just want to treat yourself, Japan Crate is an ideal subscription box to get started!
