My items were cushioned with egg crate foam. The bag was on top and folded flat. A lot of my items were in their own boxes. I love when that happens! Here’s everything in our box this month! The last two months I received an info card with all of my products listed but this month the card is very basic. The inside listed some dressy hair ideas. Ipsy has resolved to make some changes in the new year. I can’t wait to see what will happen in 2020! Ipsy Glam Bag My Glam Bag had a textured silver body and is perfect for the holiday season and beyond. I was surprised to see that the zipper pull didn’t say Ipsy. The inside is lined with burgundy colored polyester fabric and there is an inside pocket. The bag is about 7″ long x 5″ high and is bigger than the usual Ipsy bag. Merci Handy Hand Sanitizer Flower Power (Full size, $3.50) Our first item was surprising but after I thought about it, I really need something like this to carry in my purse. It’s flu season y’all! The first ingredient is alcohol which can be drying but if I’m somewhere and there’s no sink around, I will reach for this floral scented hanitizer. GLAMGLOW Tropical Cleanse Daily Exfoliating Cleanser (Full size, $34) Okay, a full-sized GLAMGLOW product, now that’s what I’m talking about! It has a fruity scent and although it has some exfoliating particles inside (pomegranate seeds), it didn’t feel overly scrubby. I think this would work well as a nightly cleanser and makeup remover. The superfruit extracts and enzymes are supposed to help break down skin cells while clay helps draw impurities like dirt and oil out of the pores. Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Original (Sample size, $1.33 value) I was very happy to receive a cleansing balm, they are so much fun to use! I used it as a first cleansing step to remove makeup and then followed with my regular cleanser. I had to use more of this than other balms I have tried to feel like it was covering everything. It goes on feeling like an oil and then you wet your hands and rub it some more and it turns milky. It rinses clean away without feeling greasy. It has a light scent that reminds me of cherry lip balm. I don’t know that a second cleanse is necessary but it’s just what I personally prefer but you may be able to skip to toner or moisturizer if you like. 111Skin Cryo Activating Hydra Gel (Full size, $200) Wow, what a pricey skincare item! This one is worth almost 4 times the cost of this box! Like most of the products in this box it isn’t labeled for resell and it was also packed exclusively for Ipsy. The first ingredeint is aloe gel and I see sweet almond oil and hyaluronic acid on here too. Supposedly it has lotus root but I’m not seeing it on the ingredients list, although I see apple, ginseng, and yarrow extracts. It has a light floral fragrance that I found pleasing and a bit of menthol is supposed to have a cooling effect, although I didn’t notice that at all. It’s a good, non-oily moisturizer and I am happy to have received it in the box! Complex Culture Contour – Blush Brush (Full size, $35) Well this is a very unique looking brush! According to the box I can use the lower edge to contour and the fluffier top to blend. The brush is made with vegan bristles and has a grey handle and silver colored ferrule. It seems well made and I didn’t notice any shedding while using. See how the lower part is thinner? That’s the part you need to use for contour. Then you can use the upper part to apply blush. I think it’s a solid brush and would love to receive more brushes from this brand in the future. 8L Lo-Fi Sculpt & Shimmer Highlight + Contour Palette (Full size, $25) I’ve used Morphe brushes for years so I was happy to try this contour/highlight palette and it was my sample choice! The box listed the ingredients. It looks simple and sleek on the outside. The inside had a mirror and listed the name of each shade. I really don’t contour much but highlighter is something I use regularly. I appreciate the different shades of contour so I can use the lighter shades in the winter and switch to a darker shade in the summer. Some of the shades are more saturated than others but they blended well and the highlighters worked really well for me. Swatched top: Literati and Enemy. Swatched bottom: Donut and Debutante. Swatched from top: Lit, Stardust, Supernova, Cosmic. Feel Brilliant Bamboo Charcoal Facial Sheet Mask (Full size, $35) Sheet masks are always popular but this one was a bit confusing to me. It’s supposed to hydrate (yay for hyaluronic acid!) and pull out oil from pores (I need that oil!). I watched the video from the site and all of the models were very young so I think this is intended more for youthful skin. Good thing I have two daughters who LOVE sheet masks! There were four masks in all, one for each week of the month. Just apply after cleansing and toning and sit with your feet up for a bit and let those ingredients do their thing. The back of the pack had the ingredients and instructions listed. Charcoal is supposed to pull junk from pores and the mask is made of bamboo fibers. Pacifica Persian Cherry Lip Balm (Full size, $2.50) Like the sanitizer this is a product that doesn’t exactly spark joy but it is a natural beauty brand (which I always appreciate) and I can use the extra moisture on my lips in the winter. It comes in a cute case and tastes like cherry candy. It has coconut and a few other oils, cocoa seed butter, and stevia. It feels good on my lips and isn’t too oily or waxy. Too Faced Kissable Body Shimmer (Full size, was $32, now $15) I’m going to have to give this product points just for looking so darn cute! I mean look, it’s a gingerbread girl! This is a kissable body shimmer and has added flavor and sweetener! It comes with a big poufy applicator. Plus it’s supposed to taste like gingerbread. Please note, I didn’t try to eat this. I was expecting a proper body powder but this is a shimmery bronzer, like the kind you use on your face but supersized. I poufed some onto my arms and was surprised to see that it left them dark and shiny. This would be fun for summer too and of course it’s perfect for New Year’s Eve! Fluide Liquid Lipstick in Candy Bar (Full size, $16) Fluide is a new to me brand and I was happy with the color I received!   This is one of those quick drying products that you need to get into place quickly or spend time with a lip balm softening it up to fix it. I liked the color (swatched below) and it is perfect for winter! It wore well and looked great on! Brooklyn & Bailey Lash Next Door Mascara in Blackout (Sample size, no size given, $5?) I don’t require a whole lot out of my mascara but this one didn’t do anything at all for my lashes. It seemed dried out and had a strong smell. I even had a piece drop into my eye when I applied. I put it on one set of eyelashes and then looked in the mirror and couldn’t tell it was there. Illamasqua Liquid Eyeliner (Full size, $22) I am not a fan of liquid liners but my daughter can’t seem to get enough of them! The tip of this one was pretty classic and I was happy to see that when I did the top line it didn’t migrate to my eye crease. I was not happy to get some in my waterline, it looks gross. It looked good after applying but each time I wore it I would have someone ask me if I had been crying and I would look in the mirror and sure enough it would be smeared everywhere. Swatched on top is the liquid lip and the eye liner is on bottom. Overall I have been very pleased with my Ipsy Glam Bag Ultimate! I am definitely getting more than $50 worth of products and what I can’t use is happily adopted by someone else. Some of these brands are new to me but others are well known and that is what I have come to expect from Ipsy, a mix of popular and up and coming. Some of my full sized products were on the smaller side (lip balm, hand sanitizer) but since I received 10 fulls and 2 samples and Ipsy promised 8 fulls and 4 samples, I guess we can add those two smaller items to the samples if we like. I found my box to have a value of $392.33 using current sale prices. Keep in mind that your products and value may differ from mine based on your profile answers. While I would have loved to receive my box this month I have been having issues with Ipsy since the delivery notice came Dec21st. They insist I need to wait even pushed some points ate. I have actually cancelled my membership because of the absolutely horrid customer service. So very disappointed and this is the third time it’s happened have been a subscriber for over a year. Actually it’s how I found this site looking for an Ipsy Glam Bag Ultimate Replacement.
