Amoda Tea is a premium tea subscription that sends hand-selected teas sourced from small, independent tea companies. There are two choices of box available — the Original Monthly Tea Box and The Low Caff. Both cost $20, have free shipping to Canada/US (no international shipping yet), and you can also add on some extra bonuses like a perfect teaspoon or extra tea bags. They also have a tasty tea guarantee — if you don’t like a tea in your box, they’ll replace it in your next box!
We scour the shelves of independent tea companies across North America to find unique teas, delicious blends and fun flavours. We offer a way to discover the hidden gems of the tea world, support the up-and-coming tea companies and taste the very best they have to offer.

I can’t wait to see what’s inside!
Everything in my box!
I received my monthly tea postcard. They always look like mini works of art and I sometimes prop them on my desk for seasonal decor!
Amoda always has a sheet with the featured teas listed and gives tasting notes too. They sent an assortment of teas perfect for this time of year, some with fall flavors and one that would taste good iced.
I always receive a set of disposable, compostable tea bags. Just place your tea in the bag, steep in hot water, then dispose of responsibly. If you are not into tea bags then just keep in mind that Amoda sends loose leaf tea and you will need a way to steep those leaves.
Let’s try them out!
Beach House Teas Pacific Blue A light herbal tea is just what I want on a cool evening, and even though it is still 97 where I live I can go ahead and pour this over ice too.
The first ingredient is peppermint and that is all I tasted when I steeped the tea and drank it hot. It has the most amazing shade of blue thanks to the butterfly pea flowers and if you add lemon juice it will change colors!
Sunrize Tea Ruby Red Chai Occasionally I like a chai and this one was one of my favorites, plus it’s caffeine-free!
I see cardamom, cloves, and rooibos, plus it has cinnamon, ginger, and pepper. It almost tastes like apple cider, and in fact I think I will steep it with hot apple juice next time instead of water!
Plum Deluxe Vanilla Latte In the afternoon I want a light black tea blend to get me through the slump and this was a tasty way to do just that!
Black tea, rooibos, vanilla, and cardamon gave the tea a hint of chai flavor and was perfect with a bit of sugar and milk.
Sunrize Tea Earth, Wind & Turmeric For some reason I was expecting this one to be spicy, but it turned out to be fruity with a hint of rose.
Black tea and rose petals are mixed with black currant leaves and flavor, for a berry taste that would also be good over ice. I couldn’t detect any spice at all, maybe it fell to the bottom of the bag?
I love discovering new teas every month thanks to my Amoda Tea subscription! The teas are unique and interesting, with some comforting selections to round out the box. I like that the caffeine level varies (although you can also opt for a caffeine-free box at sign up) and the teas are fresh and tasty. I appreciate that they frequently add new vendors each month and the new vendor for September, Sunrize Tea, was one of the tastiest I have encountered.
