Wicksly is a monthly candle subscription whose motto is “Life’s too short to not burn the good candle”. Wicksly curates a luxury soy, hand-poured candle, specifically crafted for that month. Every candle is skillfully scented with the finest fragrance oils. The candles are delicately handmade with love in the USA and represent “simple perfection worthy of your home.” What types of scents might you receive?
Each scent is suited to the month in which we send the candle to you. Think clean fresh scents in spring, breezy garden scents in the summer, spicy autumnal scents in the fall and warmth and cosiness in the winter.
The shipping box is small so no packing peanuts were inside.
The candle was wrapped in Wicksly branded paper.
I always receive a book of matches which means I can light my candle right away without searching for matches.
The candle comes in a clear glass holder filled with white wax. These are not colorful candles so they fit with all kinds of home styles.
The scent I received for August is called Nature’s Canvas. I honestly have no idea what this scent is supposed to be since there is no recognizable scent in the name. It smells green but warm and has floral and citrus notes to my nose. This is the strongest scented candle that I’ve ever received from Wicksly, although the fragrance is stronger while cold and not so much when burning. It is a relaxing candle, perfect for when you want a candle’s warmth and vibes but I wouldn’t use it to necessarily scent my home, it’s not strong enough for that.
Wicksly candles are made of clean-burning soy wax and should burn for around 40 hours.
Wicksly always sends a classic looking candle in a delightful, seasonal scent. My daughter especially loves this subscription and appreciates the soy wax base. I like that the candles aren’t super strong and are not overwhelming or boisterous. The value is similar to what you would pay for a candle on Etsy.
