Places To Be by Mac Barnett ($10.64)

From the award-winning, bestselling Mac Barnett and Renata Liwska comes a classic and luminous book perfect for fans of The Quiet Book by Deborah Underwood and Waiting by Kevin Henkes.

With an elegant simplicity, this picture book celebrates all our wide-ranging emotions—and the adventures that await us each day.

We have so many places to be!

Places to be loud

and lovely

and scared

and jubilant.

Right from the cover, we could tell how cute and dreamy illustrations are!

The inside flap of the book gave us a peek of the story!

It’s a great book for teaching kids about different emotions.

There are lots of illustrations accompanied by short and easy to read text. The book is simple yet heartfelt overall!

Right Now by Jessica Olien ($12.49)

A beautifully lyrical and inspirational picture book about being present and loving who you are, from Jessica Olien, the author/illustrator of AdriftThe Blobfish Book, and Shark Detective.

What are you?

You’re big and small and loud and quiet. You are right now. And you are perfect.

A touching ode to the importance of individuality, respect, and self-love, just right for fans of The Wonderful Things You Will Be and The OK Book.

This one is a really colorful book!

As usual, you can find a sneak peek of the book on the inside flap. The little illustrations got my kids even more excited.

The texts were simple and lyrical, and the cartoonish style of the illustrations are just adorable!

There are so many things to learn from this picture book, including individuality, respect, and self-love.

Dog In Charge by K.L. Going ($17.16)

When the going gets tough, Dog . . . takes a nap

Dog can Sit.
He can Stay.
He can even Dance.
But when he’s in charge, can he keep the cats in line?
All one, two, three, four, five of them?

Illustrated by Caldecott winner, Dan Santat, and packed full of slapstick silliness and utterly earnest charm, Dog will quickly wiggle his way into preschoolers’ hearts.

There are 5 cats and 1 dog on the cover, which immediately caught the attention of my kids!

The story’s humor plus the full-color illustrations kept my kids glued on the story.

This book is great for pet lovers, just like us. All the characters are charming and loveable! Even the naughty cats!

We got another bunch of fun reads for my kids, and this time the books are all about animals! Each book featured a different illustration style, while their texts are all easy to read and age-appropriate. My kids’ favorite is, of course, the book about the dog and the cats! It made them giggle a lot, and it made me happy as well. If your kids are also into picture books, this subscription makes a fun and easy way to add fresh titles to your home library every month! They do a great job in picking age-appropriate reads, and there’s something new to look forward to every month!
