This is a review of the June curated box #4!

This month’s box design is super colorful.

The box is full of wonderful sample products!

They also included a promotional card for subscribers.

The back of the card explains more about their offer.

Another card lists ideas for self-care!

At the back, there are brief details on each item as well as the price if you were to buy the full size.

This is not a beauty box.

What could this possibly mean?

At the back, they even included a poem to make the reader feel good. It was written by Shabazz Larkin.

Inside, there’s an explanation for the earlier statement.

Let us explain.

When we started Birchbox, we set out to make the world of beauty simple. We’ve learned along the way that it’s about so much more than that.

What we made resonated with customers who have felt overlooked by an entire industry because beauty isn’t their top priority. People with jobs, families, hobbies, passions, and extremely full lives who deserve to have an experience on their terms–not the overwhelming, exclusive, high-expectation norms of beauty. But more than being simple, we made something personal. We made something you see as a gift to you.

Everything in my June 2019 box!

You can visit Birchbox.com/MyBox to easily see the details of your box, which I recommend because sometimes they have videos on the item product pages which I find useful.

The Original Makeup Eraser ($20 Full-Size 7×16) After a long and tiring day, removing stubborn makeup becomes quite a challenge and that’s why I was intrigued when I found out about this makeup eraser. Ideal for all skin types, this soft cloth can remove makeup with the help of water.

The back of the packaging lists the instructions on how to use the makeup remover. According to it, the sample has been pre-washed and is ready to use.

Its fibers are activated by water, which deals with impurities and removes stubborn makeup minus the irritation. The best thing is that it’s machine washable. Goodbye to single-use makeup removers!

Butter London Eye Shadow in Lush Tropics ($15) – SIMILAR. I got a pair of eyeshadow shades perfect for summer. They’re primer-infused and oil-absorbing for longer wear.

The bottom of the packaging is a list of the ingredients.

There are two shades, Turquoise and Opal.

These well-pigmented and cream eyeshadows apply smoothly on my skin. They’re perfect whether worn together or alone, and they’re buildable too, minus the creases.

Air Repair Moisturizer ($2.76) I could always use a nice moisturizer to keep dryness at bay! This one utilizes humectants to hydrate minus the oiliness and green tea extracts that fight free radicals, resulting in radiant and softer skin. It’s great to bring when traveling because it helps your skin cope with the changes in your environment. The formula is ideal for all skin types. It’s cruelty-free, paraben-free, petroleum-free, and mineral oil-free as well.

OUAI Haircare Wave Spray ($7.05) There’s no better way to welcome summer than beachy waves and this spray is perfect for that purpose. It’s a lightweight and moisturizing mist that you can easily apply to your dry or damp hair for natural hold of waves or curls. The formula includes protective rice protein and nourishing coconut water. It smells sooo good!

Jouer Lip Gloss in Serrano ($17) I just found a new fave lip gloss! It’s a non-drying lacquer-type lip gloss that gives my lips a nice, irresistible sheen. Jojoba and coconut oil makes it hydrating without the sticky feeling. I got it in Serrano, a sheer bright coral red ideal for everyday wear.

Smith & Cult Nail Lacquer in Psycho Candy ($18) To match with my new lip gloss is this nail lacquer in Psycho Candy, which is also a coral shade.

It’s made with an 8-free formula, which means it doesn’t contain any harmful ingredients. It has nice coverage and it’s chip-free too.

Well-done, Birchbox! They narrowed down my summer travel essentials in one box with six fantastic items and some of them are even full sized! There are a couple of items for my skincare needs, makeup with summer-friendly colors, a hair item to easily achieve beachy waves, and a bright nail lacquer. I just wish they included a sunscreen, but all in all, this curation is fantastic. I’m pretty sure I’d be using up everything this summer. With a total retail value of $59 plus the makeup eraser, this box is really impressive!
