Everything in the December OwlCrate JR. box!

Yeti Button Pin. This is such a cute memento of the winter box. The button pin features a yeti, which is a hairy creature believed to be residing in the highest parts of the Himalayas.

Polar Bear Felt Ornament. This felt ornament can enlighten anyone’s Christmas tree with its cuteness. The polar bear wears a blue top featuring the Owl Crate logo.

Instant Snow. It’s a pack of powder which you can turn to artificial snow.

It’s non-toxic but still not for eating, so adult supervision is a must. To make artificial snow, just add 1/4 cup of water to a teaspoon of powder and you can add another 1/4 cup for more volume. It can expand to a hundred times its original size. Just be careful on using it to moisture sensitive surfaces.

Winter Wonderland Socks. Of course, a winter box won’t be complete without the socks. These are made exclusively for the OwlCrate Jr. box.

The illustrator of the socks is Risa Rodil, who we adore! She really captured the colors of the holidays.

It is made of 100% cotton which makes it a hundred percent comfortable too. The cuffs, heels, and toes of the socks are in red, and the rest is green.

Enamel Mug. Not your typical brown packaging box, OwlCrate is so extra and I’m not complaining.

Another OwlCrate Jr. exclusive product, this mug is inspired by C.S. Lewis novel, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

It’s a ceramic mug designed by illustrator Anoosha Syed.

It’s like a scene from the novel when she first experienced going to Narnia. You can see the references through the lamp post, the castle and the winter wonderland ambiance of the illustrated image.

The mug is dishwasher and microwave safe.

Ghirardelli Premium Hot Cocoa Double Chocolate Mix ($0.36) It’s a perfectly balanced chocolate mix. Rich, smooth and creamy, it has just the right amount of sugar and vanilla. It can be mixed with milk or whipped cream to explore its decadence.

There’s a booklet of that features games and interviews with authors and artists.

If you loved the book in this box, Owl Crate Jr. recommends Breadcrumbs by Anne UrsuThe Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, and Winterfrost by Michelle Houts.

I love that they feature artists so they can showcase their talent and share their fresh ideas to the world. There are a lot of snow games too.

There are some photo theme challenges for the December box plus the January theme spoilers for OwlCrate Jr.

This book is exclusively signed by the author and Owlcrate Jr. made it happen!

Her letter sure is filled with inspiring thoughts!

It makes us want to go out of our comfort zone and have an adventure of a lifetime.

The Polar Bear Explorer’s Club by Alex Bell ($16.36)

A precocious young girl is determined to prove herself as an explorer in the first novel in the whimsical Polar Bear Explorers’ Club series.

Stella Starflake Pearl knows, without a doubt, that she was born to be an adventurer. It’s too bad girls are forbidden from becoming explorers.

But Stella’s father has never been one to play by the rules.

Leaving behind her pet polar bear, Gruff, and beloved unicorn, Magic, Stella and Felix set off on an expedition to the snowy Icelands. There, Stella plans to prove herself as a junior explorer, worthy of membership in the Polar Bear Explorers’ Club. So when Stella and three other junior explorers are separated from the rest of their expedition, she has the perfect opportunity. Can they explore the frozen wilderness and live to tell the tale?

The first in Alex Bell’s imaginative new series, The Polar Bear Explorers’ Club is a fun and daring adventure filled with magic, outlaws, and fantastic faraway lands.

We’re lucky to be a part of Stella’s wild adventures. We get to at least imagine what it feels like to be an explorer.

How can she not explore when she exists in a world that polar bear can be kept as a pet, unicorns as a ride and magic as a norm?

The narration is detailed and easy to understand. The kids can easily imagine the words written in this book.

As promised, this is the signature of the author, Alex Bell.

Polar Bear Explorer Club Patch. The embroidery work is superb. I love this cool collectible.

The January theme is Weather The Storm!

The books featured are all about magical realism adventure with a folklore twist! The kids are excited!

OwlCrate Jr. doesn’t just curate but they really put an effort to make their latest box the best. All the items inside this winter box are making bedtime stories easier and cozier. The booklet has activities in it and inspiring interviews that also makes this box special. They are gifting the kids some fantasy and giving them a dose of reality too. The substitute for snow was fun! The socks, hot cocoa, and mug are the perfect trio while the Polar ornament and Polar patch make a great duo in adding some cuteness to our holiday stash. I found the letter of the author very optimistic and inspiring. Her book is beautifully written and an easy read. Owlcrate Jr. is always a favorite!
