Petit Vour is a monthly vegan beauty subscription box sending the “crème de la cruelty-free.” Petit Vour is $18 a month for 4-5 cruelty-free and non-toxic beauty products, mostly deluxe sample sized but with the occasional full-sized item. Prepay for 12 boxes and the price drops to $15 a box! Each box will have a value of between $45-$60. Petit Vour has around 30 ingredients that they pledge NOT to put in boxes and of course, each item must be vegan and cruelty-free.
The Petit Vour Beauty Box is made for the beauty devotee whose lifestyle leans toward compassion.
Each month we’ll share the best in plant-based beauty, culled from beauty’s kindest. Inside you’ll find generously-sized products (personalized to your beauty profile) for you to apply, blend, buff, lather, soak, and spray.
The items were packed in white paper squiggles. I think Petit Vour does a great job at presenting a pretty box.
Petit Vour has started putting models on their info cards.
The inside of the card listed each item, some info about the item, and the value.
The back of the card gave info on how to earn reward points, plus if you share a photo of your box on social media you may win a special prize!
Everything in my box!
Andalou Naturals Kukui Cocoa Body Butter ($2.37) I am ready for fall, even if it is still in the 90’s where I live! This body butter was not as thick as I was expecting it to be, and my skin absorbed it pretty quickly. Since it is so steamy in my neck of the woods I appreciate that it is not heavy, and it smells like toasty nuts. Shea and cocoa butter provide skin soothing powers.
EVOLV h Luxury Natural Haircare UltraShine Moisture Shampoo ($1?) and EVOLV h Luxury Natural Haircare UltraShine Moisture Conditioner ($1?) I am always happy to try a shampoo with its matching conditioner! These were small samples but you may get one or two uses out of them, depending on the length of your hair. I thought the shampoo did a pretty good job of lathering up to clean my hair, and the conditioner didn’t weigh down my fine strands. The scent is lovely and these items are safe for chemically colored hair.
Olverum Bath Oil ($10.67) I am not one to take a bath, showers are my thing. Petit Vour suggests dabbing some on the chest before taking a shower. I wish this was an after-bath oil because it smells amazing, like taking a walk in a bracing forest!
There is enough oil in the bottle for 3 uses, so a little goes a long way. I found a list of ingredients on the Petit Vour website, and Olverum contains Siberian fir needle, lavandin, eucalyptus, lemon, rosemary, verbena, lavender, lime, juniper, and geranium essential oils. I would not suggest using as a body oil as the oils may be too strong and cause a reaction, but I did try it on my inner wrist and it smells so good that I may just decide to finally use my tub.
Axiology Natural Lip Crayon ($26) Wow, a full-sized lip crayon! I received the shade “Bliss”, which is described as “salmon pink w/ shimmering gold”.
Avocado & shea butter, castor & moringa oil, and elderberry extracts are very moisturizing for my lips.
Here’s the shade up close…
…and here it’s swatched with the tip (top) and side (bottom). The color was a little too opaque and pale for my lips, but this would be perfect over lip liner or mixed with a deeper shade. It had a lovely scent/flavor from the oils and was very softening.
Petit Vour always curates a lovely box of amazing items. I am happy knowing that the brands are cruelty-free and vegan and I feel like they are safe for my body. I was pretty happy with all of the items I received this month too and felt like it was a good mix of products, such as makeup and hair care plus body care items. The value this month was around $41.04!
