California Found is an awesome monthly subscription box that delivers the best of The Golden State, directly to your mailbox! Each box is $49, but has a value of $90+! What will you find in your box?

Once a month, our subscribers experience the California lifestyle through a box filled to the brim with natural spa & beauty products, locally sourced gourmet treats, beautifully crafted home goods, and infinitely wearable jewelry. Each box tells the story of five to seven California makers through their products and an individual notecard dedicated to each one. Every beautifully packaged delivery reflects the laid back, stylish, uniquely chic attitude that is California.

Hello, sunshine!

The presentation is always on point with this box and this paper is embedded with wildflower seeds!

I found a set of cards – one with an introduction to the current box, and one for each of the vendors featured in this month’s box. The bundle was secured with more seeded paper.

California Found recently introduced The Golden Ticket, which seems appropriate for a box coming from The Golden State! One box each month will contain a special ticket that will entitle the subscriber to a free box for themselves or for a friend. Also, California Found gives 10% of their profits to charitable organizations and this month the chosen charity is The California Community Foundation Wildfire Relief Fund.

My items were snuggled into paper squiggles and were kept safe on their journey.

Everything in my August 2018 California Found box!

Soul Spark A Spark of California Candle ($22.50) I love candles, and this one was so cute!

It says to light this candle when I am dreaming of California, and told me that there is a token on the bottom that I will find when the wax is gone. I was also surprised to find words on the inside of the candle lid!

The scent is a blend of plumeria, “jazmine”, plum, and mango. I would describe it as fruity, floral, and clean.

Kalcie Lucky Beads Bracelet ($28) I thought this color of bracelet went perfectly with the candle!

It is made of waxed string with seed beads and is adjustable. Very simple and casual yet pretty. I rarely wear jewelry but this doesn’t bother me at all, I can barely tell it is there.

Herb + Orchard Ready-Made Water Infusion in Watermelon + Rosemary and Lemon + Mint ($8.99 each) These were unavailable at the time of this post, and the website was under maintenance, but hopefully, you can find them now.

It is simply dried fruit and herbs in a pouch, similar to a tea bag, that you place in your glass or water bottle. Let them sit for a few minutes, drink your water, and refill when ready. Or you can fish it out and set it aside for later, since it did make for some strongly flavored water the longer it sat. I think the lemon-mint would be good in iced tea, too.

Darling Daydream Co. Greeting Card Set ($15) I couldn’t find these cards in a set, but two of them can be purchased individually on the Etsy website for $5 a piece.

They are simple and feature uplifting messages. They are blank on the inside and come with envelopes.

Bonblissity Assorted Sweet + Single Candy Scrub ($20) Don’t these look good enough to eat? Of course, that’s how they’re supposed to look, but these little treats are meant for your hands!

I found an instruction card inside. Pretty simple: unwrap, add water, and scrub away. Rinse thoroughly.

There was a mini travel box. They suggest keeping it in your purse but it’s a little big for that. You could wrap it separately and give as a gift. You can pop a couple of the bon bon’s in your makeup bag for a sweet treat for your hands while on the go.

I received all 6 scents and they are about the size of a sugar cube. They are made from sugar, salt, shea butter, and various plant oils. I used one and it felt like I was giving my hands a mini-spa experience. It gently exfoliated my skin and I made sure to rub it into my cuticles. I rinsed and was surprised to find that my hands were soft and left with a light coating of moisturizer, which smelled heavenly. What an adorable idea and I loved the way my hands felt afterwards!

California Found is one of my favorite boxes, and the August box was super sweet! I liked that everything was pretty and delicate-looking, and three of the items smelled wonderful! I liked the laid-back style of the bracelet, and the candle was perfect for helping me wind down at the end of the day. The cards are simple but sweet, and the water infusion packets made my water tasty. My favorite this month are the bon bons for the hands, what a cute idea and they felt great on my skin! My box had a value of around $103.48!
