Vegan Cuts Quarterly Makeup Box is a seasonal cruelty-free makeup subscription with 4 or more FULL-SIZE vegan makeup products inspired by the season. The makeup box includes customisation – a survey is sent out a month prior to shipping allowing you to give first and second choices for shades.

First peek!

Vegan Cuts always sends four makeup items and a bonus item which is usually a tool like a makeup bag, wipes, or a brush!

Sarah Jean Lash Kit ($40) — A set of lashes including adhesive and application tweezers. Sarah Jean is famous for the lash adhesive that applies with a mascara wand, which I’ve never heard of before. I don’t wear falsies (they hit my glasses!) but this is an awesome kit and includes all the bells and whistles.

The adhesive is full-size, and the tweezers are soft and comfortable to hold.

Derma-E Sun Protection Mineral Powder SPF 30 ($17.56) — Mineral sunscreen is popular for its broad spectrum coverage (protection against UVA and UVB). This is a translucent powder formula containing titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. It also contains vitamin E, green tea, and chamomile, all antioxidant ingredients.

Pacifica Stunning Brows ($14) — A clear gloss to set and shape brows to keep them on fleek all summer long. This brow gloss contains sunflower oil, vitamin B, and rice bran to keep brows soft, groomed, and thick.

Honeybee Gardens Effortless Eyeliner ($8.99) — Okay, I admit it took me a long time after writing this review to finally get the plastic wrapping off of the eyeliner. It was shrink sealed SO tightly I couldn’t get my nails or even a knife into it safely to free it. So no swatch or this review would be super late! But once I finally got it open I was pleasantly surprised by how crisp and clean the liner was. The tip is quite soft, which means it doesn’t tug at the eyelid but it can also be trickier to get a clean line, and this one worked pretty well!

Au Naturale Lip Stain ($25) — This is such a pretty colour! It’s a muted rosy colour, and I love it. The shade is On Pointe which definitely fits the ballet sort of vibe. The formula is very, very dry, but wasn’t too streaky. It has raspberry oil in it, giving it a faint berry scent.

This swatch is after several passes.

The summer box included items appropriate for a fun sun-splashed season — sunscreen, pretty pink lipstick, and some other makeup essentials. The value of the makeup box is always impressive and I always recommend this quarterly sub, whether you’re into vegan makeup or just makeup in general!
