This month’s artist is Jeannie Phan. She currently lives in Toronto and enjoys the natural offerings of Ontario. According to Jeannie the best part about being an artist is introspection is constant. She states it takes a lot of questioning, curiosity and “getting to know yourself”, to develop an artistic practice.

This piece is called “Ontario”, it’s supposed to summarize some of the activities that play out on Ontario land, and the friends you may see along the way. I love all the animals and activities that are taking place in this piece. It’s a great reminder that everyone can find a little something in nature to make their own.

You were once wild here don’t let them tame you

– Isadora Duncan

I say this month after month but these quote cards are my favorite… this one just reminds me to be myself each and every day. My wild passion for life is never something I should tame and it there is anyone who wants to squash it I should remove them from my life.

On the flip side is a coloring card. It’s so simple and serene, I have a hard time trying to find the right starting point. I hope my coloring skills can do it justice.

Papirmass brings new artists and their best pieces to my door every month. This month’s piece made my nature-loving heart so happy. Papirmass is a great surprise every month, my family and I enjoy great conversations with these artists and their incredible work. Great art and a good conversation… that’s a win!
