StitchyBox Stash Box Subscription has announced some important subscription updates!

Here are the changes happening with StitchyBox:

  • Stash Box is not closing, but will no longer take new subscriptions.
  • Current subscribers can extend their subscription until the end of 2020 (since most prepaid customers are paid until the end of 2020).
  • Stitch-it-Up add-on will be closing after the July/August 2018 box.

Here’s the full letter:

Hi there,

I’m writing you today to let you know that, for a number of both personal and business-related reasons, I have decided it is time to begin winding down our bi-monthly Stash Box subscription shipment. Since this is the product that started StitchyBox, I can tell you this was not an easy decision to make, but I know it is what is best for StitchyBox as a company and for me personally.

This does not mean that StitchyBox is closing, or that any of our other products are changing – far from it. Making this decision frees up both time and resources to make our other products better, and to explore new opportunities.

I know you may have lots of questions, so I’ve tried to answer as many as I can think of below. This is a bit of a long read, but please stick with me to the end.

Pre-Paid Subscriptions and Subscription Extensions

Even though we will not be accepting new subscribers for future Stash Box shipments, I am committed to sending out all of the pre-paid subscriptions. This means that we will be producing Stash Box shipments through the end of 2020 (because some of you really like to take advantage of those bundle deals! 🙂 ). So, if you have pre-paid for future shipments, you will be receiving everything you paid for.

I am willing to extend any current subscriber’s subscription for as long as you’d like, through to the end of 2020, since I will need to be planning those boxes out anyways. If you would like to check in and see how many boxes you have remaining and/or would like to add additional boxes to the end of your subscription, please reply to this email and let me know. Subscription extensions will need to be paid for prior to the end of June, as I’m planning to map out all the remaining shipments in one go during July, and need all our subscriber numbers to be finalized by then.

Add-On Subscriptions

The Stitch-it-Up add-on will be ending with the July/August 2018 box, but I am willing to accept orders for the other three add-ons, again through the end of June, for your remaining subscription shipments.

How Do I Get My Stitchy Fix in the Future?

As I mentioned above, none of our other products/services are changing, so we’ve still got a variety of stitchy goodness for you each and every month.

For something somewhat similar to the bi-monthly subscription, I recommend checking out our Color Countdown shipments. We offer one shipment per month (color themed during 2018, and holiday themed for 2019). You can purchase them one at a time, or purchase 3- or 6-shipment bundles for a discount. By offering them individually (as opposed to as a subscription), you get to decide which themes/which months you want to receive a shipment.

We’ve also expanded our larger Countdown Box offerings this year, with Small Batch Boxes shipped just about every 2 weeks, in addition to our Seasonal Boxes.

For monthly thread excitement, be sure to check out our Collector’s Clubs (and do let me know if there’s a thread you’d like us to consider adding to our Collector’s Club line-up!).

I am considering adding a bead & buttons Collector’s Club as well, since the Bling it Up and Buttoned Up add-ons have been so popular with our subscribers. If that would be something you’d be interested in, please let me know.

Lastly…

Lastly, and most importantly, I want to thank you for being a part of the StitchyBox family. Some of you have been subscribers from the very beginning, back when I thought StitchyBox would be a fun little side hustle I’d work on a few hours every month. I could never have imagined how much it would grow in such a short period of time, and that is all thanks to you.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Happy Stitching,
Liz
