The booklet included with the box has a brief welcome letter, a list of the products included, and additional pages give English instructions for each product.
Mippunama Keshousui Toner ($7.98) — A toner with mint in it to combat oily skin. My skin is normal, so I’m probably going to give this a try but not be married to it. I wish Kira Kira would allow some customization for skincare items… that would be awesome! The toner smells minty with a bit of sweetness, and it is a very light liquid. I believe (trying to rack my brain) there is also a normal/dry version of this toner that either Kira Kira or maybe nmnl sent in the past which I found worked nicely.
Crayon Touch Me Pore Cleaning Brush — I have read about brushes like these! They have a very stiff flat brush that is good for gently buffing away any buildup in your pores after cleansing. My pores are tiiiiiny so this will definitely help in areas like my nose creases and along my upper lip.
Little Twin Stars Oil Blotting Papers ($3.79) — HOW CUTE ARE THESE??? UGHHHH I wish I needed blotting paper, because I would LOVE to pull this out of my purse… so cute!!! There are 50 sheets, and they are likely printed in a design but I didn’t open them since I am giving them to a friend. I love small licensed items like these — though they are not high value, they really add to the Japan-ness of a box by showing familiar characters!
Goshu Lemon Body Wash ($1.10) — A sample packet of a lemony scented shower gel. Nice and refreshing for a hot summer day!
Liese Hair Reset Sheets ($7.50) — I’ve used Liese products before so I was happy to see these hair sheets. This product is discontinued, though, so I hope I don’t fall in love with them! It’s a pack of 20 moist wipes that deodorize and smooth down flyaways. They smell of alcohol and a fruity fragrance, and actually work really well — my hair doesn’t feel sticky or wet.
Pure Smile Peppermint Mask — PureSmile has soooo many kinds of masks, I can’t get over it. This is an energizing, refreshing mask with peppermint and tumeric! I can’t wait to use this on a hot summer day. (Valerie’s pro tip for sheet masking: try putting it in the fridge for half an hour before putting it on your face!)
This month’s Kira Kira Crate wasn’t very high value, and the toner was a bummer since it won’t work for me, but the hair sheets, face brush, and mask are nice items. I just wish they could improve the value of the box overall, with a clear hero item.

This is by far my favorite beauty box – and I’ve tried them all! They always provide new and unique items that I can’t find elsewhere. And I love that they are always seasonally appropriate. If you are bored bored bored with the many ho hum American beauty boxes, give this one a try! So refreshing!
