Box Bewitched is a monthly spiritual and occult subscription box for the eclectic witch packed with 3-6 full-size items related to witchcraft, paganism, magick & the occult. Each box will have a mix of healing crystals, incense, runes, tarot cards, witchy bath bombs, apparel, spell candles, hoodoo oils, magical herbs pagan jewelry, & more. Everything is vegan and cruelty-free and a portion of the sales goes to help abandoned cats in need. There are three box sizes with prices ranging from $14.99 for The Maiden (crystals, incense, herbs) to $49 for The Crone (altar items, jewelry, witchy apparel, hoodoo oil on top of the crystals, incense and herbs). This review is for the Crone.

Right when I opened the box, I smiled! I love cute shirts, especially when they have a fun pun.

And this muscle shirt delivers on the pun!

I just wished it would have been a black shirt instead, but that’s my preference. I’ve already worn this shirt and I really like it.

Under the shirt, we get more goodies. Sadly, we don’t have any information card or list of items so we are left to our own for the use, or to understand the items in the box. A beginner in the craft would be lost with some of these items. I know, internet has all the information, but it would have been nice to have a quick introduction to each item.

Fluorite Crystal. This is not so much of a crystal, more of a chunk of fluorite. I’m used to having fluorite with nice sharp sides because of the way they naturally form in nature.

I like the size though! The color is a nice pale green, but some subscriber could have received a crystal with a bit of purple.

Frankincense-Myrrh Incense Cones. Ten incense cones with a small metal holder included in the box. They are simple, and they smell ok.

This packaging is super cute, I like bows!

Calamus Root. To be honest, I am not familiar with this “herb”. It is used as an anti-anxiety aid, as a laxative and diuretic, and as a mild pain reliever. Because I don’t know anything about this herb, I will not mention how to use it. This is where information about the items in this box would have been useful instead of trying the info by myself.

Road Opener – Abre Camino – Hoodoo Oil by Indio Products. Once again, I wish we would get information on how to use this oil. Abre Camino is an herb that’s being used to “open roads”. It’s being used to remove obstacles and blockages from your path or your mind. You can put oil in your bath, on your clothes, on your altar, on a candle in a ritual. The thing is, you need to have the actual herb in your oil to work and on this bottle, Abre Camino doesn’t seem to be one of the ingredients.

Ouija Board Soap by The Potion Cabinet. I played so many times with an Ouija board when I was younger and this soap brings back so many memories!

You can use it for a ritual bath, or shower, but don’t forget to say goodbye! I really like this item!

Healing Crystal Tree. A fun item to put on your altar! The branches are decorated with a bunch of different crystals: amethyst, clear quartz, citrine, jasper, and agate.

I have a fascination with crystal trees, and I’ve made quite a lot throughout the years, so I may be a bit picky about this one. It’s a fine tree with a lot of crystals, but I don’t like the wire used as the golden layer comes loose if you move the branches too much. But the base is nice with the little pieces of crystals glued to the wood, giving it a bit of weight so the tree doesn’t topple over.

May’s Box Bewitched was a nice first box, and I like what they are trying to do with it. I loved the shirt and the soap, the tree was a nice addition so was the fluorite, but I wasn’t really feeling the herb, oil, and incense as there was no information as to how to use these items. A little note card to help the beginner practitioner to get a better understanding would have made a huge difference. For the Hoodoo oil, I thought that when you include something like that in a box, you want to make sure that what you are using is the real thing, so I was confused when the Abre Camino wasn’t one of the ingredients. This is a box I’ll keep an eye on to see how it evolves.
