WhiskerBox is a themed monthly cat subscription box that features artisanal luxury items for your kitty. Four to six premium items are included which can be “stylish apparel, stimulating toys, scrumptious treats, and one-of-a-kind treasures from around the world.” Discerning felines with dietary needs can opt for non-edible items. A short profile is filled out at checkout including cat’s name, gender, weight, and if treats are to be included. WhiskerBox supports shelters, rescues, and sanctuaries with each box purchased. The luxury kitty box ships free to the United States and Canada.

WhiskerBox items are tested by feline lifestyle experts. Smokey, the head feline lifestyle expert, was a stray rescued by his humans at eight weeks old. My kitties think that is a cool job.

WhiskerBox sends toys, cat couture, treats, and specialty products each month.

My items were wrapped in tissue paper and had a sticker closure.

Everything in the box! This box ships from Canada and everything arrived in perfect condition.

The January theme was Apawllo 11. My cats names were even listed on the card! I love a personal touch!

The Meow Menu is a cute information card set up as a menu. The prices reflect retail plus shipping because WhiskerBox includes products not available in local shops. I was looking over my items and realized one product, the Chick’n Kick Treat, was missing, so it won’t be reviewed here today. Also, the “Style” item now says it’s personalized to each box, yet supposedly they will all have a value of $45, at least according to the card!

Sunny is always the first one to check out the box.

Zoey decided to take a closer look.

Hmm, which shall we play with first?

Birds of a Sweater Cat in Space Kicker Toy Oh my goodness, this is adorable!

This kitty kicker helps cats do that sweet bunny thing with their feet. It’s made of recycled canvas, organic catnip, recycled fiberfill, and water-based inks.

Kitties in spaceships, kitties jumping over the moon, kitties riding on comets, this is so cute!

Sunny gets into position.

Check out those claws on her back feet! Better she uses them on this toy than my arm! Also, she cracked me up because she looks like she’s trying to eat this thing.

Yum!

AFP Modern Cat Flash Ball is a nubby ball, slightly bigger than a golf ball, that lights up when you bounce it. You have to really hit it hard to make it come on and then it flashes for around 10 or 15 seconds.

Pretty in pink!

I had to hit this ball on a hard surface in order to get it to light up. Sunny seemed kind of suspicious of it.

What do you want me to do with this?

Just smile and wave boys, smile and wave.

I received a treat bag with a few more toys inside.

Aww, they are space themed too! I have no other information on these toys as they have no tags on them.

Maybe these last items didn’t smell like catnip because so far my cats have shown no interest in them at all.

If looks could kill.

Where’s my treat?

Whatever!

Cat Couture Costume. The only tags I can find on this costume are the ones from WhiskerBox, and another on the inside that says “made in China” and “M” for size medium.

This little alien costume is day-glo green with black stars and a white pom pom on top.

Here it is as modeled by Build a Bear. It has three snaps and a hoodie. It fit the doll very well.

Sunny immediately ran away as soon as I dressed her up. My cats are not into costumes. Also, it didn’t really fit Sunny very well and she is the smaller of my two cats.

Sorry folks, that’s the best I was able to come up with today.

Poor baby couldn’t move much but was scared. She’s scared of everything, though, and I call her my scaredy cat.

Zoey sensed Sunny’s distress and came over to check on her.

It’s ok Sunny!

What is that thing?

If only I could understand cat talk.

Well, I know that WhiskerBox put together a cool outer space theme, but with the exception of the cat kicker, my cats weren’t all that impressed this month. The snack was missing, which happens periodically with subscription boxes. The costume didn’t fit well and my cats prefer items that are less constraining. I think WhiskerBox is a great choice for people who like to dress up their cats (and whose cats like being dressed up), give them unique toys, and treat them to delectable foods that you might not find in stores.
