There are pink and brown squiggles! Since this is a natural beauty box, I do my part and place the squiggles in my compost bin.

The information card contained a list of all the items in the box along with coupon codes for some of the items. So if you fall in love with a product or want to discover a new item from a particular brand, you can save some money!

NOTE: The card says that the lip product is vegan, but it isn’t since it contains animal-derived ingredients. Just a heads up!

Everything in my box! Pink is one of my favorite colors and this box was very feminine and girly.

Jaiden Madison All Natural Liquid Lipstick In Lady Like ($20) It’s a soft pearly pink shade made with all natural ingredients such as castor oil, cocoa butter, and matcha green tea butter. Although this lippie is cruelty-free (not tested on animals) it isn’t vegan since it has lanolin (from sheep) and carmine (from ground up beetles).

It came in a standard lip gloss tube with a doe foot applicator. The shimmer is subtle and it can be worn either on top of your favorite lipstick or on its own to add sheer color to your lips. I swatched it on my arm but you couldn’t tell it was there, but it looked great over lip liner.

Native Nectar Botanicals Rooibos and Pomegranate Cream Exfoliant ($27) This cream exfoliates the skin without making it dry or irritated. It is packed with antioxidants that shield the skin from free radicals and lessens the signs of aging.

According to the packaging, you just have to massage a dime sized amount of the cream onto the skin in an upwards circular motion and then rinse thoroughly.

As with other cream formulas, the product came in a pot with a lid. Since it’s a mild exfoliant, you can see the biodegradable jojoba beads but they are not coarse to the touch which means it’s gentle even on sensitive skin. I thought it was just the right amount of exfoliation – not too rough or so soft that I couldn’t tell it was there. Plus, no plastic microbeads!

ChocXo Vegan Organic Dark Chocolate and Cacao Nibs Bar ($1.99) This organic dark chocolate is made of 70% cacao beans from Peru and Dominican Republic.

It easily satisfied my chocolate cravings, and I don’t have to feel guilty because it’s organic and portioned just right. In fact, this lasted more than one snack time.

I would break off a piece and let it slowly melt in my mouth. The nibs were very crunchy, sort of like eating a chopped up chocolate coated coffee bean. Dark chocolate is so satisfying that just a bit will hold me off for a while.

Moody Sisters Essential Oil Scented Roller in Lavender Rose ($12) I love Moody Sisters! The essential oil scent I received was a mix of lavender, rosewood, vetiver, rose, and bergamot. It came in a roller bottle, which is easy to apply and re-apply.

On the opposite side of the label are directions for application, along with a list of the ingredients. Moody Sisters also mentioned that it is best to stay out of the sun when wearing this (or any product with essential oils) since essential oils can make the skin very sensitive to the sun. The scent was not heavy on the rose, more of a warm lavender vanilla scent. Carry it along with you since it tends to disappear quickly.

The items for this month are not just for looking good but also for feeling good too! This was one of my favorite Kloverboxes, but then I feel like I say that often for this subscription. I just love it!

Unlike last month, the items for this month’s box had more variety. It featured skin care and make up items, as well as relaxing products like the essential oils. I even got an organic chocolate treat which I really loved! All the items in the box retails at $60.99 — for a $25 monthly subscription, that’s more than double the price you pay for and I’d say that it’s a win!

As for the lip product, Kloverbox is known as a cruelty-free, natural beauty box. If you are looking for products that have no animal derived products and that don’t test on animals, then make sure to choose those that say cruelty-free AND vegan, because they don’t always go hand-in-hand. For instance, a lip balm made with beeswax isn’t considered vegan, even if all of the ingredients came from the garden. And a vegan perfume could be tested on an animal for a reaction. Please read labels carefully to make sure you check both boxes if those issues matter to you.
