Funko has emailed out to subscribers of Smuggler’s Bounty, Marvel Collector Corps, Disney Treasures and DC Legion of Collectors that all subscriptions are ending and transitioning to a retail product.
As an account holder/past subscriber, you will:
- Receive prioritized emails communicating that new boxes are available for purchase.
- Not be guaranteed future boxes when new themes become available for purchase.
- Need to log in to your account to purchase each future collectibles box.
We will paste the individual letters below, which all vary, but here’s what you need to know (based on our interpretation of the below emails – if you want to see if you get your box without the additional purchase go ahead, but based on the LENGTHY and CONFUSING emails this is what we think you need to do):
- Disney Treasures: Log In to purchase the Adventures Box
- Smuggler’s Bounty: Log In to purchase the Endor Box (note that it says the subscription is ending in September but EVERYONE NEEDS TO BUY THEIR ENDOR BOX)
- Marvel Collector Corps: Log In to purchase the Avengers: Infinity War box (site
currently down is up now!). It wasn’t stated but it appears the Animal Instinct box will be shipped as normal.
- DC Legion of Collectors: The Green Lantern box will be shipped on subscription as normal. If you want the advance benefits as described below for the other subscriptions, you may want to subscribe.
What do you think of this news? I couldn’t have predicted that a subscription service would be going purely retail and we’ll be following it all closely. The retail partner must be Target or Walmart (my guess is Target) but it could possibly be Best Buy, or even Amazon.

DC Legion of Collectors

In effort to allow Funko to focus on what they do best – creating unique, quality collectibles, Funko will be discontinuing the subscription offering for the Legion of Collectors box on March 2, 2018. Therefore, the current Legion of Collectors Green Lantern Corps box offered by Funko will be the last collectibles box available for purchase by account holders.
Have no fear! The boxes aren’t disappearing completely. After the discontinuation date, Funko will be transitioning the DC Legion of Collectors collectibles box to retail. Funko will be partnering with an exclusive retailer to deliver a DC Legion of Collectors box as a retail offering. Stay tuned for upcoming details.
Once the Legion of Collectors Subscription service is discontinued, any refunds for annual subscription boxes that are not fulfilled will be processed back to the credit card currently on file in your account. Your action is to, prior to March 2, please ensure that the credit card and billing information for your account is up to date. As an Annual Subscriber, you will still receive your members-only annual gift.

Prior to that date, Funko will release one last collectibles box available for purchase by account holders, but the process is changing. The last Collector Corps box offered direct from Funko will be Avengers: Infinity War, available today!
Transition to Retail
Have no fear! The boxes aren’t disappearing completely. After the discontinuation date of the subscription offering, Funko will be transitioning the Marvel Collector Corps collectibles box to retail. Funko will be partnering with an exclusive retailer to deliver a Marvel Collector Corps box as a retail offering. Stay tuned for upcoming details.

In preparation to transitioning this service to retail and due to limited inventory, changes will be made to the Collector Corps offering and to your account. As of today, Friday, February 16, 2018, all annual subscription accounts will have auto renew turned off on their annual renewal date. Therefore, if you’ve reached your annual renewal date, your account status will move from an active subscriber to an account holder. Annual Subscribers not renewing will receive the current Avengers: Infinity War collectibles box.
As an account holder, you will:
- Need to log in to your account to purchase the Avengers: Infinity War collectibles box.
Steps to Logging in and Purchasing Boxes
- Visit www.collectorcorps.com
- Click ‘My Account,’ enter your email address or username and your password, and click ‘Sign In.’
- Navigate to the Members Exclusives section where you will find the current box, Avengers: Infinity War, as well as past boxes.
- Add the Avengers: Infinity War box, and any past boxes, to your cart and proceed through the check-out process.
- Your entire cart, including the Avengers: Infinity War box, will be processed for payment upon check-out.
- The current box, Avengers: Infinity War, will ship in late-April, while any past boxes ordered will be shipped immediately.
Refunds
Once the Collector Corps Subscription service is discontinued, any refunds for annual subscription boxes that are not fulfilled will be processed back to the credit card currently on file in your account. For example, if your annual subscription was scheduled to renew in August 2018, you will be refunded for the balance of your annual subscription between the discontinuation date and your original August 2018 renewal date. Please ensure that the credit card and billing information for your account is up to date.
Box Availability
The inventory of the Marvel Collector Corps Avengers: Infinity War collectible box, offered by Funko, will be limited. Existing Annual Subscribers will be guaranteed a box, with the balance of inventory offered to all Account Holders. See steps above to secure a box.
Your Action Items
- If you have reached your annual renewal date and are being moved to an account holder, if you’re interested in the Avengers: Infinity War box, you will need to log in to your account to purchase. Quantities will be limited.
