I’m loving the minimalist packaging!
Bleu Body Wax ($68) Ideal for doing self-massage, this herbal fusion concentrate melts on contact and keeps the skin cool and calm. It’s highly moisturizing and it also helps in relieving inflammation. Its size is quite surprising for a green beauty product! This pot is 200 ml, and I think it will go a long, long way.
It looks like solid wax but when it is warmed by body heat, it easily melts into the skin without leaving any residue.
This month’s Hero product, Bleu Body Wax, is an innovative twist on a classic body butter, infused with traditional and decadent botanicals such as blue tansy and yarrow that deliver the coveted “azulene effect,” a holistic anti-inflammatory response that calms our entire system, supporting homeostasis.
Other ingredients include Monoi of Tahiti, coconut oil, baobab oil, babassu, and marula oil. It is non-GMO certified and vegan. I rarely say this – but I wish the scent was much stronger! I think it would be amazing. That being said, it’s got a nice neutral very slightly floral scent.
Included in the package is an instruction card. It says that you need 3-4 pumps or scoops of the body wax and it should be massaged onto the body using long strokes, preferably toward the heart to stimulate lymph movement.
It can also be reapplied throughout the day to receive aromatherapy therapeutic benefits.
Sans Age Face Serum ($46.80) This non-GMO certified facial serum is suitable for dry, mature, itchy, and inflamed skin. The formula goes on smoothly on the skin, and the scent is great.
Pioneers of the term “inflamm-aging,” KHUS + KHUS understands the biochemical connection between systemic inflammation and visible signs of aging. The antidote is powerful botanical concentrates, such as Sans Age Face Serum. The expert blend of green and German chamomile, blue tansy and helichrysum are blended in a base of organic argan, baobab, and marula oil to help cool inflammation, soothe dryness, and regulate sebum.
Thanks to chamomile, the serum doesn’t just smell good, it also helps in alleviating insomnia. It’s great to apply at night before going to bed, but it works great as a daytime moisturizer too.
I’m definitely impressed by the Hero item’s size, plus its luxurious packaging. The overall value of the December box is $114, which is a crazy good deal considering that each box only costs $39 a month. If green beauty is your thing, Beauty Heroes is a great way of discovering new brands and items to love. They have high standards when it comes to clean beauty, and every month there is always something new to look forward too!
