Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription. Get five makeup, beauty, skincare, and hair care items in a cute bag for $10 a month! It’s the most popular subscription box and a great way to sample new colors and beauty brands.

This month’s box came with a glittery silver bag.

A short note from Ipsy.

This is the December Glam Bag. I love the color and the mint green accent on the zipper.

Everything in my December bag.

Luxie 239 Precision Shader Brush in Onyx ($14) This brush features premium soft, synthetic bristles.

They are handcrafted to perfection using hypoallergenic, high-quality, vegan and cruelty-free materials. This brush gives lots of control and the bristles are dense enough to lay on a lot of pigment!

Smashbox Always On Gel Liner in Fishnet ($13.5) There are three things I really love about this gel liner: it’s weightless, it’s waterproof, and it stays put for quite a long time. It also has a pigment-rich formula that doesn’t budge, smudge, or flake, making it the perfect liner for creating the ultimate graphic eye look. Plus this is 3/4 of the full size – of Smashbox!

Trestique Mini Brow Pencil in Espresso ($24.99 on Amazon for the mini – third party – going for $8 value based on this set) This mini brow pencil has a triangular-tip to easily accent and define the brows. It’s great to use on those days when you just want a soft natural look. I got this in Espresso for dark browns and black haired beauties, even though my profile is light brown. Too dark for my brows, unfortunately. It does have beeswax to keep brows in line!

Promise Organic Nourishing Coconut Milk Daily Facial Scrub  ($2.50) Packed with aloe, this facial scrub feels super soothing on the skin. It also contains organic sugar and walnut shells that buff away dead skin cells, but it is still gentle enough for daily use. Other ingredients include organic honey and coconut milk.  It’s paraben free and the only downside? I wish the bottle was bigger!

Cosmoholic Liquid Lipstick in Mysterious Mocha ($6.30) This smells really yummy! The shade mysterious mocha is a wonderful, red color with brown undertones that looks great on most skin tones.

It goes on smoothly and it’s made with super hydrating ingredients. No drying, flaking, or stickiness. Most importantly, it has a nice coverage and feel on the lips! Bonus – smells like cocoa!

I love Ipsy because it lets me get samples of interesting and new beauty brands for only $10. The curation for this month consists mostly of makeup essentials, and the best item for me is the gel liner. I like the rest of the items too because even though they’re basic, everything is high-quality. (Except for the obvious shade miss on the brow pencil). With a $51+ total value for a $10 bag, it’s easy to forgive one item being a total miss.
