Birchbox is a beauty sample subscription box with 5 new items to test out each month. Birchbox is $10 a month and you can choose a monthly sample during selection time, let Birchbox decide, or pick a pre-curated box.
This is a review of the new Birchbox On the Dot, Off the Cuff Curated Box, which is now available in the Birchbox Shop! The box is $10 for subscribers ($15 for non-subscribers).
Whatever the festive fête—planned or last minute—this box will help you spread good vibes all around you.
The information card gives brief details on each item as well as the price if you were to buy the full size.
Included in the package is a treat for subscribers…
It’s a $10 off coupon which can be used for a $50+ shop purchase – use code 10FOR2018 through 1/31, plus it’s valid on gift subscriptions of $50!
Everything in the December 2017 Birchbox On the Dot, Off the Cuff Curated Box!
NuFace Prep N Glow Cloths ($1) I love these double-sided facial wipes! The side with a soft lace cotton is great for removing make-up, while other is for gentle exfoliation and hydration. It’s meant to be a prep step for NuFACE treatments but you can just use it to cleanse!
BONUS: Birchbox Eyelash Curler!
Everyone needs a good eyelash curler. This one has comfortable handles that don’t slip, while its curler fits most eye shapes. Since I get 2 Birchboxes a month I gifted the extra – and my gift recipient TOTALLY flipped out about the quality and comfort of this lash curler! (It is really great!).
Aveda Thickening Tonic ($12.83) HELLO AVEDA! So awesome to see more brands getting into subscription boxes. This thickening hairspray is packed with botanicals including organic amla fruit. Birchbox suggests spraying it onto towel-dried hair before blow drying for best results. I love that it gives life to limp hair without the sticky or greasy feeling, plus it has a really wonderful scent! This is perfection for my fine hair. My stylist (who is an Aveda stylist!) agrees! 🙂
Whish Botanical Primer ($8.75) Thanks to Japanese honeysuckle, seabuckthorn extract and argan oil, this lightweight primer keeps skin nourished and pores minimized all day long. It has a clear and creamy formula which also leaves the skin with a dewy glow.
Marcelle Ultimate Volume Nano Mascara ($15 Fullsize .25oz – $6?) It might be small but this mascara might work wonders. The formula is well-pigmented and long lasting, while the brush reaches inner corners of the lashes, allowing for easy application even for people with short lashes. For me the brush didn’t have the oomph I prefer and the mascara was a little wet, so it wasn’t my fave. No size on the container – just a guess.
Love Of Color Liquid Shimmer Shadow In Stardust ($10) This is a water-based liquid eye shadow which doesn’t flake or feather. Birchbox suggests to swipe it across the lids and then blend for a long-lasting shimmer and shine. This is actually a full size of this “right size” product.
Here’s the swatch! It’s shimmery but not over-the-top, and that’s why I really like it.
I am pleased with this curated Birchbox! I loved the variety of the beauty items, as well as the bonus beauty tool that I can still use even when the festivities are all over. The total retail value was about $39 PLUS the value of the lash curler which is amahzing for a curated beauty box that costs only $10. This is probably easily my favorite curated Birchbox of all time – they really nailed it!
