WhiskerBox is a themed monthly cat subscription box that features artisanal luxury items for your kitty. Four to six premium items are included which can be “stylish apparel, stimulating toys, scrumptious treats, and one-of-a-kind treasures from around the world.” Discerning felines with dietary needs can opt for non-edible items. A short profile is filled out at checkout including cat’s name, gender, weight, and if treats are to be included. WhiskerBox supports shelters, rescues, and sanctuaries with each box purchased. The luxury kitty box ships free to the United States and Canada.

WhiskerBox items are tested by feline lifestyle experts. Smokey, the head feline lifestyle expert, was a stray rescued by his humans at eight weeks old. My kitties think that is a cool job.

Everything in the box!

The October theme was Catch Me if You Can. My cats names were even listed on the card! I love a personal touch!

The Meow Menu is a cute information card set up as a menu. The prices reflect retail plus shipping because WhiskerBox includes products not available in local shops.

Sunny is always the more curious of my cats.

She also didn’t feel like sharing!

Zoey decided it was safe to check it out.

Only 1 Ingredient Duck & Sweet Potato is a cat treat made with TWO ingredients – betcha didn’t see that one coming! They are pretty big pieces so you may want to break them up into smaller sizes. My cats licked them a bit and then gave up. They are very hard!

Sunny tried to eat it!

Zoey approached the proffered treat.

It only received a curious sniff from Zoey.

Weruva Outback Grill Cat Food Sometimes this cat food looks like canned stew but not this month, it looks more like canned salmon, complete with bones! What makes this Outback Grill, you ask? It features barrumundi and trevally, fish found in Australia.

It’s served in aspic, which means gelatinized meat stock. This is perfect for Halloween, since it has fish skeletons inside. Just like the canned fish my mom makes salmon patties with, the bones dissolved when I touched them.

Crochet Kitty Cat Toys Black Cat Catnip Toy is just adorable! Look at its black boa tail, its spooky eyes, its orange and black ribbon streamers! It’s filled with organic catnip to drive the furries crazy. This is perfect for October!

Sometimes Zoey is kind of boring. Sunny loved it though!

Ooohh, a Dia de los Muertos treat bag!

Inside the bag I found catIQ Sneaky Mouse & Catnip Tube. This fuzzy guy has a velcro closure on its tummy so you can fill it with catnip. It was hard to fill it up as the closure was kind of small.

Sunny chose this little guy first.

She had fun flipping it around.

I love the packaging for the ta-dah item!

Cat Couture Butter Popcorn Hat is a knitted and/or crocheted hat that looks like a bucket of buttered popcorn!

The only way I could get a picture of this hat was by holding it on Sunny’s head. The head opening is meant for a tiny head. If the popcorn bucket was supposed to stick straight up, maybe it should have been stuffed with fiberfill and then closed up.

I waited until Sunny was relaxed and tried again. She looks excited, right? She reminds me of Carmen Miranda, the lady with the basket of fruit on her head.

Success, sort of. I barely tied the strap and yet Sunny started gagging so I took it off. I tried putting it on the more subdued Zoey but the straps are too short and her head is too big. Plus, she was ready to rearrange my face.

Well, the popcorn hat was kind of odd, it didn’t fit right and my cat couldn’t wear it for more than a few seconds without looking uncomfortable. Most of the costumes have been a miss for my cats, but I do like the toys and foods, and more importantly, so do my cats! Whiskerbox allows me to give my cats a new food treat or toy without having to buy in bulk, in case they end up hating the product. I think WhiskerBox is a great choice for people who like to dress up their cats (and whose cats like being dressed up), provide them with unique toys, and treat them to delectable foods that you might not find in stores.
