I absolutely love opening Roost Crate! The presentation is always so welcoming and it truly makes you feel like you are receiving a gift! This month has a cute little fall leaf on the tissue paper!

I

This Months theme is Fall Hike. I have actually been to the Adirondack mountains which makes this box even more amazing. It is such a beautiful place and if you ever have a chance to make your way to New York, you should check the Adirondacks out…Especially in the fall!

The first item I peaked at was the Healthy Gourmet Kitchen Farmhouse chili ($4). This is PERFECT for a wonderful fall day. My husband has been into cooking lately so Chili is now on our meal plan this week.

I love a good treat! The Quinoa Ka-Pow Chocolate Bar from Barkeater Chocolates ($3) is made in North Creek, NY and is Gluten Free, NON-GMO and all natural ! This bar is very bitter, but I feel all dark chocolate is. Also included was the Gatherer’s Gourmet Granola in Chipmunk Choice ($5.49). I love chipmunks so how stinking’ cute!! This granola is packed and ready to just throw in your bag. My husband took this to the city today and he just loves it! He told me it has a great peanut butter flavor but you also get a kick of maple syrup!

Staying on the food/drink trend there was a wonderful bag of coffee (our favorite) inside this months box. Hiker’s Delight from Adirondack Mountain Coffee ($11). This coffee is made in the Adirondacks and this Bohemian roast will “get you to your destination”. It is STRONG!

We made a cup of this last night and it has such a wonderful earthly flavor, but it does pack a punch! It is very strong, but if you like dark coffee its perfect for you!

Lastly were two things that are a perfect addition to our collection. My husband just had a partial hip replacement and is on his third month of recovery (and yes, we are only in our 30’s). He was THRILLED to use the Arnica Salve from Jillian’s Apothecary ($17.99). This healing salve gives you pain relief where you need it. It smells so much better than the other stuff he was using and I can’t wait to report back after a week and let you all know how it works. So far so good!

The Good Karma soap from Cobble Hill Farm Apothecary ($6), smells absolutely delightful as well. Made in Rock City Falls, NY Good Karma is made with Mushrooms giving a clean and earthy vibe to your shower after a long hike… and it smells good too!

Every month Roost Crate seems to one up the month before.I think living in upstate New York helps me love the products even more, but it just think its such a wonderful mix of products! Roost Crate is a perfect blend of kitchen, home, and lifestyle! Next months theme is “Harvest”. I can’t wait to see more.

What was your favorite in this month’s Roost Crate? I would love to hear!
