Lip Monthly is a monthly makeup subscription that is all about your lips. Every month you will receive a unique bag of 4-5 items mostly for lips, although other cosmetics may appear from time to time. The pink outer bag is also new and an upgrade from the previous plain kraft envelope.

My September bag arrived mid-October. Not very impressed! There have many complaints about Lip Monthly’s poor customer service in the comments lately.

My bag contained four items.

Sorme Lipliner — A dark nude colour that doesn’t really match any lipstick I have but could be used as an all-over base to deepen the colour. It smells very strongly of pencil shavings and reminded me of school!

Jersey Shore Cosmetics Lip & Cheek Rouge ($30) — This little tube has a retail value of $30, which seems overpriced. It is vegan, natural, and cruelty free though. The rose colour has a shimmer I wouldn’t wear on my cheeks but is great for lips.

Kiss & Smink Santorini Blush/Lip ($20) — Another product duo in a bright coral.

Leaders Coconut Gel Mask with Broccoli ($6) — That awkward moment when the no-lip product excites you the most… I love sheet masks. The Leaders masks I’ve tried from the 7 Wonders collection don’t fit me well but I believe this is similar to a hydrogel and will likely be easier to fit if that’s the case.

Lip Monthly can be very repetitive as it features Bellapierre, Manna Kadar, etc frequently. Sometimes they throw in a new brand but if you’re oversaturated on the usuals you might bore of this bag. They have been having some serious CS issues lately that they’re not doing a good job dealing with and the bags are arriving extremely late. The subscription is cheap but it’s still money, so use caution.

    I love my Lip Monthly ! I know others have had bad customer service experiences, but I have always gotten quick replies. For example, I had to email them about a tracking number question and they got back to me within 5 minutes. I was shocked because their page states that they don’t respond on weekends. I then responded to their response and got another response in less than five minutes. My bags come on time and I’ve never had any bad customer service experiences!

      You are definitely in the minority. My Lip Monthly reviews get the most comments from people frustrated from the delays, lol.
