Orange Glad says this size box will “make 1-2 people happy.” I enlisted my family to try these treats so 3 people were made happy this month!

There was an information book inside that contained details about the companies, treats, and best-by dates. I love this beachy picture of a VW bug van/bus. I was telling my family on a recent vacation that I hoped to see one when as soon as I said it there was one right in front of us. Ok, so we were in the parking lot of a Southern California state beach at the time and it was probably inevitable but still I was happily surprised.

I enjoyed reading about the makers and learning a bit about their companies!

Everything arrived in perfect condition!

For the first 3 items I completely forgot to take pictures of them in their packaging before tearing them opening and scarfing them down. In my defense I was worried about what was happening with Hurricane Harvey in my neck of the woods and apparently really needed some comfort food.

I received two types of shortbread from McTavish Shortbread. Scottie Dog Shortbread was my favorite of the two. Classic rich, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth shortbread had coarse sugar sprinkled on top for a classic treat that would go great with a hot drink during an afternoon break.

Ice Cream Sprinkle Shortbread was cute and had a colorful sprinkling of candy confetti.

CC Made Classic Artisanal Caramel Popcorn achieves wonderful depth of flavor from just a few simple ingredients. Crispy and sweet, and just the right amount of salt.

CC Made Toasted Sesame Seeds with Nori Sea Salt Brittle I was afraid I wouldn’t like nori with caramel but I couldn’t really taste the nori (seaweed).

The brittle had an excellent flavor and sesame seeds were very prevalent.

CC Made Potato Chips with Cracked Black Pepper Brittle I’m not a fan of potato chips but they add some salty crunch to this unusual flavor of brittle.

The chips are on top of the brittle and there is a bit of bite thanks to pepper. Interesting!

Right now we are in the heat of summer and shortbread or similar types of cookies usually ship well at this time of year. I am always excited to see what our country’s talented artisan dessert makers are producing and everything was delicious, fresh, easy to share, and tasty! I’m looking forward to some chocolatey goodies in the future as well as some spicy offerings for fall!
