A little bit info about this month’s collab and Nina’s LMdB pick. As far as I know, LMdB has not done blogger collabs for this subscription in the past. I’m curious to know how they selected this blogger – with less than 5k followers on Instagram, she isn’t a huge influencer – but I don’t mind that at all. I’m just curious!
Detoxifying Charcoal & Coconut Face Mask: A VIP pre-release exclusive product!
I was a little turned off by the presentation of this product. The label was already peeling and the product leaked a bit.

The Detoxifying Charcoal & Coconut Face Mask smells good – and you can definitely tell that it includes charcoal. When I read the card I discovered it was a peel-off mask!
You apply generously to skin, and after about 10 minutes, peel off. I showed it on my hand here after about 10 minutes where I had peeled back a bit. It peels off cleanly (like really really well!) and left my skin feeling really hydrated! This is super unusual for a peel-off mask, and I admit my first impression was not the best, but the actual product experience changed my mind. That being said – do I think it was worth $29? Not really. I think this should have been a full-size product in a tube. For a subscription that sends $80 Kaleidoscope palettes for this to be the first offering of the year left me a bit disappointed for the price paid.

Wow – I thought I received a ‘bad’ shipment but looks like everyone got this leaky sample size jar of mask! I’m disappointed – it does not feel anything like a VIP program to me!
I was very disappointed and emailed LMDB and questioned why we received a sample size. They emailed me back and said it was full size. No one will buy this if that is all they get. Disappointed.
Yeah, no. The more I think about it the more odd it is! The product itself was nice but also – didn’t go super far!

The first shipment is a full size yet to be released Charcoal & Coconut Face mask that features our technology inside it. We have developed this mask with Harvard Medical School, Rutgers School of Pharmacology and our in-house experts. It is not a sample, but was in lab packaging as it is not a retail product until sometime later this year.
