Open Sesame delivers thoughtfully curated toys and educational activities inspired by the research of Harvard psychologist Gerald Lesser, the chief adviser to Sesame Street. For $34.99 per month, you’ll get a box filled with toys and activities that are meant to promote discovery, excitement, and cognitive development.

Each box comes with this colorful tri-fold booklet.

There’s a reminder for parents to help their little ones go through the booklet and box!

The inside of the booklet comes with a short note from Open Sesame, the list of all the things included in the box, and the activities you and your child can enjoy.

Elmo’s here! This box is designed for the pre-K crowd!

Everything in my box!

Gund Tag Along Buddy Elmo ($11.05) Elmo is soft, fuzzy, and suuuuper long legs so you can drag him around!

HI ELMO! This Gund plushy has soft eyes so it doesn’t bang around!

Clifford The Big Red Dog By Norman Bridwell ($8.99) Yay, it’s Clifford! A total childhood favorite!

I was a little confused by the back – this is the first time this book has been available in decades – but then I realized most of my experiences with Clifford were through other formats. This is the original!

Clifford is so good for teaching every day life lessons.

Play-Doh Red ($1) Yay for play-doh! Our toddler got super excited when he found his very own container in the box!

Melissa & Doug Lace & Trace Shapes ($8.27)

A set of 5 shapes with laces. They are sturdy chipboard and build to hold up to a lot of lacing.

When we unboxed this box we placed everything back in for our little guy to open. When he got to the laces, he cried STRINGS! And then found the cards. We have been lacing and unlacing ever since. This box was really a hit for us – the items were perfect for any little pre-K monster’s skill and attention levels, and were super engaging! Even though I’m on kid #3 I am always surprised how great these kinds of boxes are for delivering perfectly age-appropriate developmental fun!
