Everything in my Summer 2017 Rockets of Awesome Boys box!
Summer Stickers
Fun stickers (and a freebie)! Your kids can use them to decorate their box, notebook, or papers… just hopefully not your wall! The fun metallic ones on the left are slightly puffy too. Great bonus!
Bling2O Shark Goggles ($18)
Oh too bad the Easter Bunny picked up swim goggles for the kids, because these shark ones are too cool!
Just totally rad and a hit with kids!
Swim Trunk ($24) This super friendly pair of boys trunks features a great white shark on one leg and a little draw string waist.
The drawstring is tacked on the back and there’s a little scuba dude peeking out of the back pocket!
JAWWSOME!
Rash Guard ($24) Yay for sun protection! This rash guard has a smaller neck to keep the sun at bay and long sleeves, decorated with WE ARE AWESOME.
The little details on this are just too fun.
Constructed well for active movement and some room to grow. I was impressed with this beach gear!
Rocket Pop Tee ($18) A dip-dyed tee that’s perfect for celebrating summer! A red, white, and blue shirt is always fun (but maybe more fun with a rocket on it?). Just your standard pocket tee with a fun color feature.
Wave Muscle ($16)
I requested this muscle tee but we didn’t end up selecting it, because we liked some other items better. It’s got an athletic shirt weave and isn’t a typical knit.
We were surprised to find that it’s reflective too. Gnarly.
Raglan Football Tee ($18) This raglan tee is a more basic style with some muted color contrasts. My son finds the shirts comfortable, the seams lay flat, and as noted, there’s a nice amount of room for movement without being baggy.
Active Graphic Tee ($18) Also made out of active material, somehow this shirt is like a game achieving awesome? I’m sure my 6 year old understood it perfectly.
Back of the neck!
Patch Pocket Pull-On Short ($22) These shorts have large patch pockets and a roll-up the cuff accent.
As cuffing my child’s shorts is something I’ll do exactly never, these went back!
They’re fine rolled down, but we picked the other 2 shorts in this box to keep.
My tiny flamingo.
Burger Tee ($16) This was my son’s #1 choice from the box.
It’s a funny breakaway graphic illustration of his favorite fuel – BURGERS! Do you think it will also get him to eat vegetables on them?
Side Stripe Knit Short ($20) These comfy shorts have diagonal-entry pockets and are very similar to the several pants we already own from this subscription (and which are SO durable). Keep!
We thought it was funny that they sent the kids coordinating tees – burger & fries! (Our girls review will be up soon!)
Tiger Tee ($16) This shirt is positively wild, and although we totally didn’t need it, I had to keep it. I loved the vibrant fluorescent color and the tiger.
The back says TIGER.
Map Pull-On Short ($22) I requested this pair of shorts, along with a pair of palm tree shorts that I didn’t get (read more about Rockets of Awesome requests here). They’re perfect. Kept them!
We think Rockets of Awesome has been improving in their item matching capabilities, and I totally loved being able to request specific items from my child’s stylist. I thought everything fit with his fun, casual vibe, but I would have liked to see more print shorts, because he loves to make crazy combos and I’m happy to encourage it. Rockets of Awesome has preppier/dressier clothes too, but we’ve indicated that we’re not interested in them, because our kids don’t have any particular need. We kept 2 pairs of shorts & 2 shirts for $74. A little on the spendier side, but the clothes are durable and tough and my child adores wearing them. My main want from this subscription currently is the ability to preview and reject items before my box gets shipped. While I love showing you all a variety, ultimately this is how I dress my kids, so I’d like to see fewer plainer items in our boxes. And while I’m at it, I can dream about getting shoes in this subscription, too!
This is a super easy box to try out – free shipping both ways, and you pay just for what you keep. I would recommend giving it a shot – you can see even more styles in the Rockets of Awesome Summer Style Guide we posted a few weeks ago!
