Play! by Sephora is a monthly subscription box that brings only the best and exclusive Sephora beauty and makeup samples. The subscription costs $10 per month, and you’ll get 5 deluxe beauty products, playlists, a fragrance bonus item, plus coupons you can use when you visit in-store.

Everything arrived packed in a bag, preventing items from rolling around in the box. This month’s bag saying – The Best Things In Life Are Me! Remember to love you.

Don’t forget about your PLAY! Pass. It gets you 50 extra Beauty Insider points with a purchase from the box (in-store only). Your subscription also entitles you to PLAY! Date meetups if your store participates.

April’s theme is Step It Up featuring products and tips to help elevate your daily routine.

The fold out poster shows a list of all the items included in this box plus product/brand trivia and beauty tips. You can access all of the information and also watch the videos right on the Sephora site or use the app to scan the sheet for more info!

Everything in my box! My variation was box 609. Click here to see variant items in other boxes!

Fresh: Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy-Boosting Face Mask ($9.39):  This mask uses alpha-hydroxy acids from crushed citrus fruits to improve skin’s tone and texture. It also works as a scrub, providing double exfoliation. I really like fresh products and this mask totally lived up to my expectations. My skin felt really soft and smelled so yummy after using.

Dr Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Wrinkle Recovery Peel ($11.00): Each packet provides a doctor’s dose of retinol to exfoliate and re-texture skin as you sleep. I don’t have an issue with wrinkles, and these little pads will ensure that I stay that way for a little longer.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer ($9.00): What makeup lover doesn’t know about this primer?!? It’s an oil-free gel formula that helps to blur fine lines and lock in makeup. It can also be worn without makeup for a soft, flawless finish. It also contains Vitamins A and E to protect skin.

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Waterproof Eyeliner ($5.25):  This line of waterproof eyeliners is part of a collaboration between Make Up For Ever and singer Charli XCX. Use this to create a tightline or bold eye look. The matte color glides on smoothly for long lasting wear.

The smudge at the top of the line is from turning the pencil on its side as I was drawing. You can see how fine the line can get when you get to the tail of my line.

Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover ($2.20): So, I used this to remove the MUFE waterproof liner from my wrist. This bi-phase formula is designed to remove stubborn waterproof makeup. Bonus, it contains a lash-strengthening complex! It is also safe for contact lens wearers.

Pinrose Secret Genius Towelette (??):  The sample was too small to value. I like that Pinrose wants you to play with their scents to get a personalized formula. Secret Genius has notes of Madagascar Vanilla, Caramel, and Sandalwood. It was a nice scent, but too sweet for my tastes.

April’s Play! by Sephora is valued at $37. I was very happy with the makeup remover and MUFE eyeliner, but I loved the fresh mask. Although, I wouldn’t have complained about getting either the Kate Somerville: ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment or Daisy by Marc Jacobs in my box.

It looks like I should cancel and this would be my first box. Even Ipsy would be worth more… weird.
